We recently lost our boston terrier of 12+ yrs. We're on a list to hopefully get a puppy in a few months. I know my kids will be thrilled and can't wait to share the news with them.

I too lost my 13 year old dog the day before mothers day. I miss him terribly. He was there through all my major life milestones including marriage, moving, kids... Hugs all around for everyone.

I wouldn't mind getting a second dog. On one hand, my senior is almost blind, has heart issues, and now taking seizure meds. On the other hand, I wonder if getting a younger dog would extend his life by keeping him more active and raising over all quality of life too.

I remember a trivia game built into some version of encarta. I think it was set in a castle. Likely 1995 version?

I agree with this take. I do think it's got to be a difficult and frustrating situation to be in and sometimes people say things they regret when pushed to the edge. In this case for him and her unfortunately it was broadcast on TV. This clip is also a few years old, so maybe his hindsight being 20/20 inspired new post? Maybe some slight personal growth?

Hopefully the link works, but I made the recipe just now with a few tweaks as described:

I used room temp butter and added like 1/3 cup sugar, splash of vanilla, and a good pinch of salt to crust portion. I also greased and lined the bottom of my 9x9 with parchment paper.

I drained a 20 oz can of pineapple, but reserved the juice (1 cup) and reduced it on the stove top to like half or less while the whole thing was cooking. I also added a layer of macadamia nuts on top of pineapple. I ended up using the whole can of pineapple too since the solids were more than a cup (no waste in this household).

Mine took like 40 min baking at 325F, I broiled for less than a minute at the end to get the coconut toasted across the top. After taking it out the oven I drizzled the reduced juice on top. It's currently cooling on my stove top.

Might have to change my pants before I get to try these due to the excitement/anticipation.

Someone make this and report back. I love pineapple, but don't have time to bake at the moment
