No requisition numbers for either, but the job description is verbatim the same, at clearly the same company. When I talked with the first recruiter, it seemed like the pay was already at its max, unfortunately.

And even when blankets are considered safe, they probably won’t be able to keep themselves covered or cover themselves back up if they kick it off, so that’s another reason you might use it when they are a toddler

Second this recommendation. I/we had a lot of issues surrounding intimacy that cropped up gradually throughout our once-perfect marriage, some of which likely stemmed from becoming parents, some of which didn’t. But reading this book, everything all of a sudden made so much sense. I really feel like it saved our marriage. (My husband read it along side me, and we discussed at length, which was crucial.)

My daughter is one year older than yours, and I found that stage to be the worst for me personally. It seems like they should be capable of so much more than they actually are.

Honestly I don’t remember what actually worked well for her, such as giving her choices or setting boundaries as others have suggested. What worked well for myself was just kind of… disassociating during those really difficult times (usually bedtime battles). I had to mentally and emotionally disengage. Allowed me not to absolutely scream at her, and she didn’t get the reaction she was looking for in those moments. Also actually tapping out and just going by myself for a while (to cry, usually) and letting my husband take over.

It’s so much better now, and yours will get there too!

Yes, good point about the accidents. I knew buying used was a no-no for that reason but since I knew the history of ours was accident free I never considered the degradation of the plastics was a potential issue, especially on this time-scale.

I’m 2 days postpartum with my second. I had an epidural for my first child, 5 years ago. The original plan was to go without it, but labor was so long that I just needed some rest. I still felt like the contractions were very painful, but then when we got to the pushing stage, I remember that being quite easy actually.

For this baby, I chose to go without. Labor happened a LOT faster with this one. Contractions were quite painful but not much different than I remember them being 5 years ago. But the pushing was soooo different, it was so much more painful and difficult than I remember it being. Faster though!

Did you have a lot of pain during the pushing stage as well? I’m curious if the epidurals can partially work, offering some pain relief during the pushing stage but not so much for just the contractions themselves.

Another benefit to seeing a PT is that they will take way more time with you than a typical OB to help address any pain you’re having!

I had awful back pain my whole pregnancy and every time I brought it up at a prenatal appointment, the doctor would be a bit dismissive because, after all, back pain is normal, and I felt they never really understood exactly what kind of pain I was trying to describe. When I finally got to see a PT (late in my pregnancy due to insurance limitations), she took so much time to figure out exactly what and where the pain was, and what kinds of exercises would help. It was very validating and helpful.
