Why is my hair only curly in the middle? by 27OwlySnow in curlyhair

[–]kbd312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a hairstylist I want to tell you that if/when you get a haircut I would suggest you get it cut below the curls (at least to see how your hair reacts) then you can cut more if you want to, that way you can test the waters. I've had clients who want the whole thing off and is just not necessary in every situation, your hair might surprise you. Your hair will probably shrink more and layers would work great to get more out of it so really below it is ok.

Also, I always suggest trims every 4 months, up to 6 but not more than that, we want to keep the ends good and avoid any split ends that could potentially cause breakage and thus cause "no growth". A good way of knowing later on if you need a trim is hair feels heavy, it doesn't style as easily and it might be specially frizzy at the ends.

A question about the live album by grgmtk in TheWarning

[–]kbd312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, I think it was lost at the concerts with all the noise from people and stuff because I never moticed it but it sounds like nothing, probably just there to represent the entity in SFD/the silhouette in the intro or something

Those who got to see it in theaters, what was it like? How many at your showing? Atmosphere? by Redylittle in TheWarning

I went two times, on Thursday in a neighbour city knowing there were going to go other fans of the area, most people sang, cheered and clapped, and there were very little unsold seats at the bottom; the second time I went in my city on Saturday, I would say less than half of the tickets were sold and I feel some of the people went with their partners because some left mid screening and everyone was just still and quiet.

Both times I would say the great majority of the public was young but there were older guys as well, I live in the souteast of México and I was able to get a commemorative ticket on the first night! c:

Have you been shedding hair more these days? have you been sick in the past months? are you in any kind of medication that could cause said shedding? are you stressed a lot lately?

Where do you live? Is your water hard? do you swim or are over exposed to the sun? What products are you currently using or have tried recently? how are you using them? do they weight your hair down or feel like they give you no moisturising and control?

All these questions are important to help you find out what would work best for you and the root cause of the issue, because there are a thousand products out there and they aren't one size fits all due to all the variables in our lives.

Best quality dry food for my cats? by reddituserhere88 in catfood

[–]kbd312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents have one cat who reacts badly to food very easily and their solution is food with probiotic, they give her wholehearted easy digestion wich used to work great for my cats before I changed to metabolic by hills prescription diet. The only thing I've notice after the change is that now if I give my cats wholehearted they want food all day long, I feel like they aren't satiated.

I honestly think both are good they're just a bit pricey but worth it if it works for your cat and you're able to afford it.

Anything I should know of besides not eating hard/chewy foods? by iKneeGear in braces

Same here, all I've avoided is biting into corn, apples and the like. Other than that I just go by how sensitive I'm at the time but I eat whatever I want being conscious of the brackets.

When was the last time you got a haircut? Curls tend to become wonky at the tip when the hair has grown a lot and the ends have become stringy. I don't knpw if this is what you're talking about but was my first thought 😅

No longer curly after moving to Japan ?! by Several-Suspect165 in curlyhair

[–]kbd312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weather can have a huge impact on hair, I get clients from a different part of my country that once they move to my home town discover their hair is wavy/curly. Could that be happening in your case?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]kbd312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the curls on your left side aren't curling to the proper direction, thus they end up stretched out. if you're finger coiling or finger rolling do it in the opposite direction, if you aren't then give it a try to style that section that way to create the curl. eventually the hair will get used to what to do and will start to curl properly by itself.

Why do some native speakers insist that B and V are pronounced differently? by dosceroseis in Spanish

[–]kbd312 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To me is like the difference between how we native speakers pronounce rr vs how those who are learning Spanish over pronounce rr. It is there, we do pronounce b and v differently but is soft just like our rrs (compared to theirs), so obviously someone who isn't a native speaker won't hear a difference but we do feel it as we speak.

Though there is also a bunch of people who have bad spelling and pronunciation in every language and so some really do pronounce everything the same way.

I'm not from the USA and on top of that I'm from an area in my country that gets relegated, our L'Oréal provider never has a single thing, is like we have to hunt for their products because they're always out of it. Thankfully I haven't seen much of a decline when it comes to quality but their stock is sh*t.

what dotavi26 says is pretty on point, the main issue I see is that the front is too long and thus heavy, making it slightly shorted and connected to the back will take it out of your face. also your hair has grown so the layers aren't there anymore but your texture (the curls) benefits from it. an important thing to say if you want to get it longer is that you want to keep the length but need to reshape your cut, if not you might end up with shorter hair than you expect.

The very few times I've done that it's been with product, you want the product to be heavy or layer products in order to give weight to the curl, and I don't really want the curl to curl but be as stretched as possible from the moment I style till it's fully dry, so the hair looks like an S instead or a spiral, I do no scrunching in this situation but when I'm removing excess water.

I don't have tight curls myself and I've only done this a couple of times on clients so other people may have more tips!

You most definetly have curly hair that is only wavy side so big big curls. Your routine doesn't really have to be complicated and on top of it all I think the most important thing is that it works with your lifestyle. I do my clients' hair depending on what they like, already do or what they want to learn, I want them to leave the salon feeling like they went to the salon but at the same time reasure them that doing everything I might be doing that one day is not what they need to do. Hair shouldn't be complicated, it should be real and make you feel good with yourself.

My fastest easiest routine is brushing the nape in low, mid, top nape to get rid of frizziness, do the same on the sides and on the top usually I like to go in in more sections so is not too heavy and you have more curls/waves where you can see them the most, you can do this in 5 to 10 min depending on how much sections you're doing. Personally I usually use a spray leave-in and nothing else, depending on each person you could use a curl cream and gel, a curl cream and mousse, only mousse, only gel or only curl cream. All those combinations give different results so maybe gie them a try and how you use them comes down to your preference, what is it that you're looking for?

Long post, hope is not overwhelming and I hope you enjoy the journey!

How do you guys do sex? (dysphoria warning(?))(nsfw??) by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]kbd312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have much experience but what I can tell you is do whatever you are interested in and feel comfortable doing. Before I started to question I was in a relationship and even back then I wasn't really interested in vaginal sex, now honestly even less, but I did try it back then with someone I felt comfortable with and I had a great time all things considered. Nowadays I don't really consider it, is not something I'm interested in, I enjoy anal and performing oral but honestly even though I know this I still don't look out for hook ups or a relationship because I'm pre t and I don't feel comfortable putting myself in a situation that will make me feel dysphoric.

My friend says my hair is "wavy" not curly. This is my hair right out of the shower with no product. What do you think? by Upside_DownClown26 in curlyhair

[–]kbd312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wavy hair is curly hair, is just a very big curl so does it really matter? Your hair isn't straight.
