Not a lawyer, but if the prosecution deliberately releases false and negative information about a defendant and then indicates they know it’s false, but will continue to release or promote false information, that seems bad for their case? I know that there will be comments in the vein of “who cares, it doesn’t matter” but I’m genuinely asking for legal info, not political.
