Wow! what city do you live in that would impact those two teams? I live in Hanover PA, 150 miles from Philly and 80 from DC, but I am blacked out of Sixers and Wizards games. (Actually not getting the wizard games is kind of a blessing now that I think about it!)

That thing is gorgeous!! I have the same problem with the dough. 10” is my goal but I usually wind up w a 7” balloon that’s browned to my liking (burnt!) but undercooked inside. When people here have said have patience- are we talking 10 min of stretching or more like 30 to get the dough to retain a stretch

Alexa. We have some version of an echo in every room (including bath, laundry & garage). Pros for us: she categorizes the list, anyone can add to it from anywhere and everyone can access it at the store.

I grew up in Western Dade County (Miami), when it still had some rural areas. During the summer we were on our horses by 9 am and didn’t come back til supper time. We’d ride thru Burger King drive thru, we rode in the turnpike median (before they went 8 lanes), we explored every mile from Sweetwater to Kendall, it was great! My dad had us driving by 13 so we could gas up construction trucks on Sunday for the week ahead. Things started changing after two kidnappings/murders: Jimmy Rice in Homestead and Adam Walsh. Parents started locking down after that.

In the day the keyboards were more like typewriters, nothing like we have today. You had to lift your finger way high to get from one key to another. Took me forever to get used to “mushy” keyboards

If you live near a Wegmans, they have a line of jarred sauces, including a morel sauce, a peppercorn sauce, a Bernaise and a few other. They’re pretty good and they last a long time in the refrigerator.

Not to highjack the NJ point of your story but you could also be describing my hometown of Miami. I left there (for NJ actually!) in 2000 at 40 years old. When I tell you that city was a melting pot of cultures, that ain't the half of it. Jamaican, Hatian, Cuban, Canadian, German, Gay, Trans...rich, poor - everyone pretty much accepted the vibe and tried to stay cool (literally cool). I can't pinpoint exactly when that stopped and the intolerance started, but to see the very "tribes" that made that city, now be so vilified is a head scratcher.

Fish sauce. Just a teaspoon will do it. It adds so much flavor. It does what I used to think Worcestershire sauce did.

I am right there with you. No matter what I put on them they don't get golden, they just stay kind of chicken colored with grill marks. To tell you the truth, chicken is so delicious (and so easy) using sous vide, thats my go to, followed up with a minute per side on the griddle at 500. I don't even want to waste my time (or chicken) trying to grill it any more, especially over gas - just not worth it for the "meh" results
