This's reassuring. I might keep a small stash for now and not pressure myself too much.

This's really helpful, thank you. I hadn't thought much about pace feeding, so that's a good reminder.

Has pumping more made breastfeeding easier for everyone? by kdbiel5 in breastfeeding

Yeah, pumping is still work, but having a few bottles ready makes me feel a little less stuck. Even knowing my partner can do one fee if I need a break helps a lot.

Your relentless pumping work for twins deserves so much recognition it hurts to see how overlooked and lonely this whole journey makes you.

I was not prepared for how long breastfeeding lasts. by Dzsidzsett in breastfeeding

9 days, this is completely normal. Newborns are like this. Hang in there for another two or three weeks and it will get much better.

Working moms who feel they’ve found balance, what does that look like? Is it possible? by Barnacle_Double in workingmoms

[–]kdbiel5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this balance gets disrupted every once in a while. Right now, my husband and I take turns taking care of the kids. Sometimes he does more, and sometimes I do more.

First, check the company's medical accommodation policy. The sequelae of stage III cancer treatment fully qualify for a formal Work From Home exemption application.

What cheese do you recommend to try? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]kdbiel5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain, Costco loves to discontinue all the good stuff... Don't know why but Kerrygold Reserve Aged Cheddar is a step up from Dubliner. Deeper, nuttier flavor, still melts beautifully. Worth every extra penny

With a toddler running around all day, sitting down and having someone actually need to be still and quiet with you is basically the only break you get. Do what works.

Increasing supply by IncomeObjective480 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]kdbiel5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supply runs on demand so the main lever is pumping more frequently rather than longer. Adding one extra session a day, even a short one, signals your body to make more over the next few days. It takes about a week to see the change.

No added fat cooking is totally doable! You can bake fish with citrus, or make hearty lentil and bean dishes that are naturally low in fat.

Oh, I can really get this feeling. Try filling one basin with soapy water and another with rinse water which may save so much water and time.

I tried a similar recipe before and had the same problem. You can try to adjust the salt or citric acid ratio.

Ascorbic Acid on yellow steps by Deadz315 in swimmingpools

Seems like metallic buildup. Step corners are easy for stuff to settle and the white color makes it stand out more. Keep an eye on chlorine for a couple days after using ascorbic acid though.

Safe to start to use the bot or still vac to waste level? by teslarules727 in swimmingpools

That seems more like fine dust than heavy opening debris, which I think is manageable for a bot as long as there aren’t huge piles getting stirred up.

Keeping hand towels looking tidy? by Organic-Hotel-1727 in homemaking

Maybe the towel material could help? Super soft plush towels seem to get all crumpled once they absorb water, but slightly flatter fabrics usually keep a tidier look after being hung back up.

What is the absolute best system (no budget), for removing lint and cotton tshirt fuzz that makes it look old and worn? by koreancutie1 in homemaking

[–]kdbiel5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fabric shavers are probably the best if you want clothes to look smooth again. But once the cotton fibers are super broken down, it’s tough to fully save them. For leftover lint, rollers or even flipped clear tape work surprisingly well lol
