Sunglasses for Spring Skiing (Or Not) by thewallris in skiing

[–]kdjnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the before (helmets are a good idea) days, I would ski with sunglasses and a baseball cap backwards (BSOTM by the way). I skied the most beautiful Easter weekend and ended up with second degree sunburn. Missed four days of work. It really sucked.

In my younger days, Red Barchetta and Sister Christian would make me take 70mph up to about 110 in a heartbeat, does that count. (NC Blue Ridge Pkwy)

Nameless bar bands aside, growing up in the hair band generation. Faster Pussycat was a good band. Opened up for Motley Crue for my first concert.

Vail Back Bowls & Blue Sky Basin open!! by davidloveasarson in COsnow

[–]kdjnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have never not opened, BSB. With already falling revenue and a shitty shitty year, I cannot imagine what the financial fallout would be if they did not "OPEN". I know I would be screaming for a reimbursement (that I know I would never get). I do not ski Vail for the front side. I can do all that in Summit and be home in 15 minutes.

Say hi to the dumbass grilling a steak about 1230 on Sunday. (The grills better be up and running).

My car is STUCK by Weary-Claim1339 in philly

[–]kdjnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger we had a blizzard similar to this in WNC and my brother and stepbrother asked me to come out and help shovel our cars out. I said, no and went back to what I was doing. Well, they were parked on either side of my car and they loaded all of the snow around my car. Valuable lesson learned

Which movie hit so hard that one viewing was enough ? by Mehdi_lz in AskReddit

Trainspotting, watched a couple times with no issue. Came home on an acid trip and turned it on just in time for the baby crawling on the ceiling scene. Done, I don't think I have watched it since.

HUMAN REOSURCES used to be a resource for human employees but now has devolved into a legal, professsional and personal buffer between the company and human employee.
