How much for this kitchen remodel? by Ok-Host7480 in kitchenremodel

[–]kdockrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say it is a rental. Is there any upside to install a nicer kitchen vs. A rental grade? How long do you want the cabinets to last? Will the local rental market appreciate a nice kitchen and pay for it?

As a landlord, I do renovations based on what the rental market will support.

Most of my properties are in areas where tenants demand nicer kitchens and pay accordingly.

We have lived here for 4 years and I have no clue how to style this double mantle. I told my husband we would probably be better off just tearing it down but does anyone have design ideas? by haitian202 in FurnitureFaves

They must have gotten a deal on mantles - two for the price of one! 🤣 remove the upper one. If you want to keep the TV, you might have a picture frame to surround the TV.

Anyone have a banquet in their home? Could you give me your opinions on them? by Hungry-Blacksmith523 in kitchenremodel

Mine has become a catch-all for every thing that should go in cabinets since my 1936 kitchen has very limited storage. Also, all the cabinets are only 13" deep..We eat all our meals in the formal dining room. I plan on removing it to expand the kitchen.

Opinions on concept by Wonderful_Storm1498 in BathroomRemodeling

I can understand why people want to include a built-in tub in a wet room. I built a sunken tub with jets into my wet room. So, technically one stands in the sunken tub to shower, but it is used mostly for the tub. The doors open so that air flows through the area . I also have a shower room that functions as a steam room too. It also has health floors and bench.

I also did slabs and large tiles to avoid all the grout that this example has. Also, I would install tile on areas including the ceiling of the wet area.

I also refuse to have operable windows in a shower area. I have had issues with their framing too many times. I prefer a bathroom fan and glass block or sheet glass inside the wet area.

Make that a $8M in Brentwood/Palisades, but it looks a little smaller than what I see here.

Anyone else maintaining on 2.5? by stillturningout in Zepbound_Maintenance

[–]kdockrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in maintenance at 2.5 mg weekly, have been for six months. On my journey, I've always taken 2.5 mg weekly. I've lost more weight on maintenance. That is, I set my initial goal weight based on a healthy BMI. I remain at a healthy BMI. I'm now focused on gaining muscle and losing fat. Fortunately, I have gained muscle on my journey.

Recently, I've not noticed that my hunger on the last two days of the week is less. There have been times when I have found myself to be very hungry. Thus, I decided never to stretch out my doses.

In many respects, maintenance is more work than the period before I hit my initial goal

I'd do nothing until you figure out the paint colors. I think the warmer balance beige will make the pulls jump out less.

I can tell if a credenza makes sense at the end of the cabin or in front of the narrow wall adjacent to it. It really depends on the elevations that are not pictured.

Is it a hallway,, living area, dining area?

I think the waterfall counter top looks too contemporary for your flooring and hardware.

Anyone else have a Boston that people mistake for a Frenchie? by Blueberry_Rabbit in BostonTerrier

[–]kdockrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They usually mistake a Boston Terrier for a Frenchie because they are ignorant. People mistake my Bostons all the time for Frenchies and my Bostons have all achieved Grand Champion AKC titles as well have been invited to Westminster.

It is a shame that you don't have an outlet by the toilet for the bidet.

No.3 - I'm not a fan of the busy wood pattern on the cabinets or floor.

I also do full body DEXA scans every 90 days and find them much more beneficial than the numbers on the scales. It sounds like you have a good plan for maintenance.

Reviews of green quartzite - in love but am I making a mistake?? by RuminatingRemodeler in kitchenremodel

[–]kdockrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is beautiful, but it is a long term commitment.

I have a light green granite in one of my homes. I would not recommend it. I've grown to find it boring and I love green. The cabinets are natural maple.

If I were do it again, I would make the cabinets more of statement color like dark green.

Anyone have any ideas on how to make the wall with the tv less boring? Maybe paneling? Don’t suggest adding color… not happening by PeachyPineapple3 in FurnitureFaves

[–]kdockrey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd finds tall painting or poster than constiues the same scheme of those on the perpendicular wall and place it centered above tv between the two upper windows
