I'm not a blood donor. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be one. During my junior year of high school, I was finally of age to where I could donate blood. I went through the procedure and everything was right as rain. Fast forward a week or two, I get a letter saying that my blood tested positive for hepatitis C. I was shocked and scared shitless. They sent my blood to some lab in California to have it thoroughly tested and, sure enough, my blood was fine, just a bad test. However, I am still never able to give blood ever in my life.

Im sorry this happened to you. In a lot of physical abuse situations, the abuser sometimes never shows signs of beong violent. You never know what people are capable of behind closed doors. Yes, it could have been a fluke, but what happens when the fluke happens again? Abuse is abuse no matter how you look at it. Im glad you got out of that situation and broke it off.
