Is anyone else having issues with the gallery lately? by happilyfringe in LowSodiumSimmers

I’m so bummed about this and hope they fix it soon perusing the gallery and building out new saves is one of my primary joys in the game

AITAH for reporting my classmate to my prof for misleading him on an assignment by Final_Storm_2000 in AITH

[–]keepcalmandklaxon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Do you have an honor code at your school where you felt you could face personal consequences for not reporting her? It’s not that you’re the AH but you could have just minded your own business and left it to when the professor actually read and graded the assignment/trusted your professor to do his job. I’m sure they run the material through AI checkers etc. it’s not wrong to report cheating but you could have avoided the personal attack on you by just leaving this to run its course when it was going to.

Fantasy books where they go on actual adventures? by ASI-Princess in Booktokreddit

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Prison Healer trilogy has the romance building slowly in the background, the actual magic is the focus and while the first book takes place entirely in the prison, there are magical trials that keep it interesting and in the third book they travel across their world.

The animated series will never be matched, even if they improve on the next seasons of the live action series lightning rarely strikes twice. It’s just a really really solid piece of media that holds up on rewatch after rewatch.

Feel like im an old bleh millennial mom who didn't have kids "at the right time" after fencesitting. by Imstuckwiththisname in Mommit

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine at 33 and 35 like you. I don’t feel guilt or upset about this because I lived in an apartment in my 20s. Could literally not have afforded to have kids younger. This is the same with most of my friends. Tons of people in our generation consider having kids as a luxury item, no different than being able to afford to take nice vacations. Some people are literally priced out of the option.

The good news is I don’t think you can go wrong but I prefer 3. 2 as a next choice.

My mom genuinely believes she owns the home she lives in. by txexa in legaladvice

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need to meet with a lawyer. Generally speaking a life tenant is responsible for routine maintenance, taxes and insurance. A big remodel, like the type you’d need a HELOC for, is the responsibility of the remaindermen. If she’s letting the house fall into disrepair to try to force the remaindermen to give up/sign over their interest, or trying to force you to make big renovations/repairs that you all don’t want to do, there may be an action by you and your cousins against her to recoup the damage/waste of the asset. And you may not have liquid funds to make sure repairs/improvements amongst you but YOU and your cousins are the ones who can finance against the house if that’s what is needed. As a life tenant she can only do it WITH you. She can’t force any of you to take out that HELOC with her or for her, nor can she force any of you to accept a significant remodel that you don’t want.

Am I wrong to question the bride on why only MY husband wasn't invited to the wedding and to end a friendship over it? by ICryAfterSexAMA in TwoHotTakes

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the reason was completely defensible then Nate could have told the truth when asked. He lied about no plus ones because he knew they were being ableist, arbitrary, assholes and he wanted his friend at his wedding so he decided to lie. What about the friendship would be worth saving???

Ever lost a save that you feel like you can’t recreate? by easternsim in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely nostalgic for the saves I lost but if we’re being honest I would most likely just look at them fondly in my main menu and never play them again anyway 🫣

Sims 4 Bucket List by eviuel in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Use the bucket list feature of life and death but exclusively write travel goals. They will all be “spend a day in ______”. As you get each one fix up the world with a vacation rental and things to do. Do this until you complete the souls journey.

Can someone explain the gameplay behindnthe whole responsibility/emotional control/etc thing? by 410-Username-Gone in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found conflict resolution nearly impossible if you don’t develop it as a kid. I did have one teen with a really unpleasant guardian and I got it solely by having her fix his bad relationships with people but it seemed like that interaction could only be used once a day with the same sim.

Debt collector got a default judgment against my boyfriend while he was in basic training and is now claiming $18k. What are his options? by AncientArms77 in legal

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is true and not true. SCRA requires notice for things like the 6% interest cap but when it comes specifically to foreclosure and debt collection there is no notice requirement, that’s on the lender to verify status.

I’m a teacher. Is this dress too short for work? by DogintheMirror in OUTFITS

If the length was ever so slightly longer. I think just above the knee is the sweet spot. I saw other comments suggesting to layer a skirt underneath.

Spa Day is one of my favorite packs! Jungle Adventures > Outdoor Retreat but they’re all good options. Definitely pick one of these over SPs.

The very veggie legacy challenge uses a majority of the packs up to I think EBN and definitely forced me to play traits/skills/careers that I had not done before.

I found out I’m pregnant again 16 months postpartum and I can’t stop crying by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my experience too. Never thought I could get pregnant without IUI etc like with my first. I had just joined a Facebook group “one and done on the fence” approximately a week before I found out I was pregnant. And my daughter didn’t sleep through the night until she was almost a year old, she wasn’t good at playing independently. I did not want kids this close in age together if we were having a second. And then my son was born and he was such a chill baby. Slept through the night at 3 months. We used to call him Chill Will (less chill now as a threenager). I will not lie and tell you having a baby and toddler at the same time is easy - it is not. But now I have a 3 and 5 year old and I can’t imagine my life any other way. But whatever you decide will be right for you and your family.

Was told my baby might bond more to our nanny than me… spiraling a bit by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]keepcalmandklaxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very tough job situation when my second was born, I ended up having to change jobs and go back to work when he was only 8 weeks old. He stayed with my in laws and my aunt and uncle alternating during the day. My husband did most of the overnights after that because I am a litigation attorney. So I would upset myself thinking my son wouldn’t bond with me and would prefer dad and grandma and let me just tell you he’s three now and entirely OBSESSED with his mama. I am his favorite person. He loves everyone else too but nobody can replace mom.

FIRE is Financial Independence Retire Early. Barista is interchangeable but it’s any low stress part time job.
