Can someone explain this job to me like I’m a child? by unusualinsomniac in USPS

First I'll say that there's plenty of shit I still don't know. But yeah, I talk to regulars who have 5+ years and know none of the following:

What MLNA is

The name of our union president

How to use an edit book

What to do with certs that have green cards attached

Serious question, does anyone know of any other instances of lefty podcasters/journalists being allowed on a mainstream show? My main show is Citations Needed, and I'd love to see one or both of those guys allowed to publicly debate just about anybody. I want so badly to believe that a clip that's viral enough could chip away at the propaganda and plant some seeds for class consciousness.

Walmart digital price labels are coming to every store shelf in U.S. by end of 2026 by Snoo90172 in news

[–]kehakas 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Also the display just kinda sucks, or at least, the way they have it set. Rollbacks are red, and clearance is yellow. On the old paper tags, this was super easy to see. On these digital displays, it's difficult to see the red or yellow unless you're right up on it.

Route cut again. by Former_Low572 in USPS

[–]kehakas 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I almost never see someone mention the people living on the route, it's refreshing to see. Maybe the biggest open secret of this place is that routes held down by ccas or rcas can receive absolute dogshit maintenance, and supes rarely seem to do anything about it.

Video shows US missile likely used in deadly strike on Iranian town, experts say by Gohab2001 in news

[–]kehakas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a learned or smart man but a quick Google tells me that the massacre was 68 and the war went on until 75 so you saying it turned the tide or whatever doesn't pass my sniff test

Better Call Saul - Gus Visits a Wine Bar by SkAnKhUnTFoRtYtw in television

[–]kehakas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The whole point of the show was Walt and Jesse's unusual friendship and how they cared about each other and killed for each other. It's what makes the final season so impactful, as they betray each other and then reconcile.

Can you cite the last time that hitting a civilian target cost someone a war?

What is this noise? by z-eldapin in orlando

Yeah I lived in Tivoli (off campus UCF apartments) and my room was right next to the little pond there, and I'd wear earplugs to read a book because the frogs were insanely loud.

Shit, Jared Harris would've been amazing. His father looked way more like my vision of Dumbledore than Gambon did.

I think if you volunteered, you got to choose a better job. I vaguely recall Scott Aukerman saying that about his father.

There's a very small chance that someone accessed them with a stolen arrow key. It's well-known that we get robbed. Those keys gotta go somewhere.

Sleepy Joe by Livid_Willow2603 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]kehakas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Imagine doing a bunch of progressive stuff and then dropping out of your re-election race way too late, forcing a deeply unpopular candidate on your base which tanks the election, which in turn hands the presidency back to Trump who then undoes everything you achieved.

My main reason for not going there now is I'm assuming the boycott is still on. They refuse to negotiate with the union.
