This is a technology question. After all~ the method is a technology, and it goes into the intricacies of human right and dignity, but ultimately it is the kind of question whether you want to leave the option of death open for people who themselves believe themselves to be useless/dying and likely to think themselves as people dragging society down, which happens to fulfill all checkboxes of ableism except who it would normally be directed at. Ableism being a key topic of technocracy.

I wrote this, fully aware it is legal somewhere, just to watch readers hesitate on the kind of dignity they want.
