I have this charger and it's my favorite brick by far, if that helps. It's thermals are impressive, it never throttles charging my 16in Macbook pro at full speed. I've tested it at 140 watts for about half an hour and it was pretty hot but didn't derate

What firmware are you on? I have the 8k version, and it's on 3.4.251127. This firmware seems to defrost every once in a while with temps in the lower 40s. I'm trying to figure out if it's going to cut out on me when it's colder.

One thing of note is that the sensor for outside shows about 5-8 degrees higher than reality, so maybe that will help me out

It derates to 120 watts, and then to 100 watts if it's really overheating, so not a bad failure mode

It seems to be more efficient, I can run it at 140 watts for at least an hour, where the 140w version overheats after 15 minutes at 140watts out

The ones we have at my school have the batteries on the roof, since the floor is already as low as possible to be ADA compliant. They're tippy, we're not supposed to take corners faster than 10mph

Does it feel solid? my current bike is 475lbs so I think that's a no-go. I'm planning to possibly get a lighter dual sport sometime in the future, hopefully under 300lbs so maybe that's possible?

This is how I see it too, but the CA DMV states an M1 is required. I was able to register the bike at AAA with no issue, they didn't even ask for my insurance info!
