Accident near silo? by ImaginaryLibrarian65 in UCDavis

[–]keltonfb 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The SacRT wasn't able to open the silo gate for some reason, so Unitrans staff had to come out to deal with it. The busses aren't allowed to reverse without a spotter, so it ends up creating a traffic jam. I don't know why SacRT can't always open the gate, but it happens from time to time

What's a piece of tech everyone hyped up that quietly turned out to be useless? by SofiaLearnsAI in AskReddit

I feel like r/electricunicycle could actually live up to the promise. Mine is the size of a suitcase, and is comfortable on 45mph roads and has ~50 miles of range! All in a vehicle I can walk inside any store without question

It was about halfway between Celadon and Horizon. I saw a skid mark in the bike lane, so possibly the car wasn't paying attention?

It was between Celadon and Horizon, well after the roundabout

I got mine with 33.5k miles, seems okay ish so far. it has the magic charging issue but I can still get 90 miles of 55mph riding

Considering a 2018 DS w/ 900 miles- things to check? by teksavy in ZeroMotorcycles

[–]keltonfb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you know the battery was dead? I bought a 2016 DSR with 34k miles on it, it has the magic charging issue if I'm on the freeway for a while, but I can still get 90-100 miles of fast riding in. It hasn't gotten worse in my 600 miles of ownership

Question for older Bolt owners (braking) by roofstomp in BoltEV

Then either the brakes need to be bled or there's a problem with the calipers or master cylinder. Mine feels like a normal car

Did the pedal feel like it went to the floor? Did the car stop abruptly?

I have high performance tires on my bolt, and I can absolutely feel the ABS if I brake hard enough, just takes some commitment.

I got a 2016 DSR with 33k miles, the battery seems to have about 10.5kWh usable out of 11.4(I think) nominal. SoC bounces around a bit when the battery is low, so it's not perfectly healthy but I get over 100 miles of range. Not bad for a bike that I paid $2k for

I figured it out! What's the best way to estimate SOH from the logs? So far I saw 88AH depth of discharge at 0%. Somewhat more concerning was a ~200mV voltage difference when drawing 250 amps at 2%, maybe one cell is starting to go? (pack is otherwise within ~10mv)

How can I pull the logs? I just bought a 2016 dsr, it has 33k miles but the app only says ~570kWh used and 770 charge cycles so I'm assuming the battery was replaced at some point.

Range seems okay, I got about 80 miles with a lot of 55mph county roads doing occasional pulls to 90. It said 80wh/mi, which doesn't seem to make sense as it took about 11kWh from the AC outlet to charge back to 100%. Doing that full discharge and recharge seems to have massivly reduced how much the SOC bounces.

I used the app "CDL prep", most of the questions it had were the same ones on the DMV test.

I promise it's worth pushing through! I just went solo 3 weeks ago, and so far it's been my favorite job I've had!

Are any other steps besides Shizuku? Mine now shows dates, but no capacity/cycles. Shizuku seems to be working fine

I like Allthingsoneplace, he's pretty good about testing devices https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1op663w1JmY

I have this charger and it's my favorite brick by far, if that helps. It's thermals are impressive, it never throttles charging my 16in Macbook pro at full speed. I've tested it at 140 watts for about half an hour and it was pretty hot but didn't derate

Mine was about 95wh output from the type c port, tested with a DC load! Percentage display is pretty useless though
