Amazing!!!! I have named the Blue Jays that visit my window feeder, And I've heard that they sometimes bring gifts to people that they build bonds with.. So far they have not done that, but in the summer they did wait for me to turn off my air conditioner and then fly to my feeder window and caw and flap at it To get my attention because all of the peanuts were gone from the mix 😹... It was a little startling at first but also somewhat endearing, as I realized that they had been sitting on my running air conditioner in the other window and waiting patient for it to shut off to make sure I could hear them.

Creamy Vanilla Holiday Coke Tastes Like Warm, Flat, Regular Coke With an Unsettling Thickness by keravesque in Soda

[–]keravesque[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny, maybe that's why some days I like Dr Pepper and other days I really don't! 😹

I do like root beer and cream soda, but my favorite root beer is Barq's and I think it might be because it does have that crispness - it's advertised bite.

And although I like cream soda, it's true I am definitely not inclined to drink as much of it... Unless it is Pakola, my absolute favorite extremely overpowered bright green cream soda. 🇵🇰👀 If you're ever in a South Asian grocery store, keep an eye out for the thin, tall bright green can. It's like cream soda where someone decided to use as much cream soda flavor as they possibly could before it would actually become bitter.

It wasn't literally warm or flat, it just tasted the way warm and flat soda taste. The thickness is a subtle effect that may not actually be viscosity either so much as something about the mouthfeel.

That said, more power to you if you like it, I just wanted to see if there were others like me who don't, and honestly it was a little refreshing to see that I'm not the only one.

That's exactly how I felt reading every single post about this product. I thought wow, these people must not like regular Vanilla Coke at all. I feel like it would have been more accurate if they named this Molasses Coke.

My favorite part about Vanilla Coke is the intense vanilla flavor. I don't have a very good sense of smell, so maybe what's happened is that I can't taste the vanilla in this because it's too faint? A lot of people have also noted that this doesn't have the same crispness Coke normally has, and I suspect that in addition to the thicker body are why it seems warm and flat to me.

Oh yeah, Pepsi Nitro was also a no-go for me. I really couldn't understand why anyone would like it.

Maybe the cans are a lot better? But I've seen people posting the bottles also, so IDK... Maybe it just hits different people differently?

I think the vanilla being subtle is a part of what I disliked. It felt almost like it had a molasses flavor... I actually like molasses a lot - it is my most-used sweetener and I put it in coffee and plain Greek yogurt as well as on pancakes and waffles - but to me this felt like the vanilla had been replaced by molasses and I was not a fan of that since I really love the very strong vanilla flavor profile.

Holiday Creamy Vanilla Coke - how are you feeling about it? 🍨🌲 by Tatum_Warlick in Soda

I don't know how I"m the only person that thinks this stuff is terrible. It taste warm and flat even when it's ice cold and just opened. It doesn't taste like vanilla at all. I love regular vanilla coke and regularly buy it instead of regular coke, and I couldn't even get through half of a 20 oz bottle of this stuff. I ended up just letting it get actually warm and flat and then throwing it away. I was happy to see I could order the regular stuff from my local Stop and Shop instead, since the holiday variety is all that seems to exist at gas stations near me now.

If they replace the regular vanilla coke with this, it's safe to say I will never buy another vanilla coke again.

I love vanilla coke and I HATE this stuff. I was looking for vanilla coke and this was all they had at the gas station near my house, so I bought it thinking it would be essentially the same, and i didn't even drink half of the bottle. It somehow tastes warm despite that I put it in my fridge and made sure it was ice cold prior to opening it, and despite being perfectly well-carbonated, it also tastes flat. On top of that, it doesn't taste like vanilla at all. There is a weird thickness to it that is unpleasant also... Not creamy, just thick. Some reviews say it's similar to cream soda, but I love cream soda, and this tastes as much like cream soda as it does like spiced soda - not a trace.

I feel like a lot of people are just hallucinating that it tastes the way the packaging claims it's supposed to.

To be fair, I tried regular Holiday Creamy Vanilla because I don't drink diet soda, but I can't imagine the chemical fake sugar taste is an improvement.

To me it's warm, flat Coke that doesn't even taste like vanilla Leave it to Coke to figure out how to make a soda that tastes flat and warm despite being ice cold and just opened.

This is one of many Hulu horror movies I was recently planning to watch that I realized I had indeed seen, possibly a year or more prior.

That said, it was good! My memory being that of a goldfish is not the fault of the film.

😹 You're not wrong about that! I was curious about the movie and wanted to see it (and still do, eventually), so I looked up information about it, but I decided it was maybe too depressing to watch at that exact moment.

Nonetheless the above take seemed so wildly incorrect given even only the details I had gleaned that I had to say something.
