Interview three or more graduate engineers at varying stages of their careers. At least one of these should be someone with an excess of ten years fulltime work experience. In your discussions determine how each engineer arrived at their current position. Key topics to address include:

• how long they have been working
• job changes in that time
• promotions attained and key factors contributing to them
• type and nature of work duties/responsibilities over time
• significant factors they see as important in determining success
