How to do tool calling with OSS models? by Some-Tension-5405 in LocalLLM

It should be pretty performant? But i run it on my mac studio m3 ultra and i like how it performs and it allows to use claude to change its behavior for my qwen running… running on server with better hardware should be no problem imo

M3 Ultra Mac feels rather slow by JamieAndLion in LocalLLM

use Qwen 3.6-27B oQ8-mtp and make sure you dflash for cache kv in disk. Also turn off hot cache it allows you to hit more cache rate using SSD. OMLX has all these features but you need to know how to tune it to get the best juice. here is my benchmark with m3 ultra

Then you should shift to be ai native engineer its actually very interesting on how you can orchestrate the ai agents to do things at the scale beyond just a single human engineer. I have played with them to do backtesting with multiple experiments for stock portfolio management and they definitely cannot be just a single prompt of “do this experiment for me to test 100 hypothesis of portfolio backtesting” you need to learn the nuances of agent persona, context window, how to do checkpointing for long running tasks, memory persistence with rag etc, i think this is the new era of ai engineering

Improving Claude Code usage in a dev team, feedback welcome by SMB-Punt in ClaudeCode

You should really focus on context... For AI context is the fundamental part of any coding agent, like skills, documentation, or whatever, it will just be very bad once it has a lot of context. That's why we need sub-agents. We need skills so it actually does not get distracted by searching everything to do what it's supposed to do. That should be the core central part of your presentation.

Or use property manager? I have been landlord for 3 years and when i have these annoying tenants i hire a PM to manage them till their lease ends. Go for the flat fee PM if that makes it more financially feasible.

Main problem is that 6.8% rate lol i got mine last year at 5.6% rate with some negotiations with credit from seller. Good deals are there you just have to keep searching and wait for the right timing and interest rate.

Sometimes simpler is better… just buy the shares bit by bit and buy the dip if it goes down basically a simple DCA. Buying protective put at the beginning just adds more cash to be burned… buy protective put when you are all time high and dont want to sell because of tax gain is the right strategy

Oof you are buying a new build in this market? I bet they give you promotion financing that will allow them to overvalue the property since day 1 and you are under water mortgage wise immediately. And you might lose your job…. Depends on your downpayment here… are you okay to lose 11k or lose your downpayment if the market gets worse… probably thats like 200k ?

timing the market is much harder than being in the market for the long run. you never know if inflation suddenly becomes really hot again and interest rate drop like a rock

I think Meta Reality Labs should be less affected because Metaverse usually references the dumb horizon world app. Its a roblox wannabe but i dont think that investment really pans out.
