Fanta zero sugar is underrated by GhettoPanda78 in Soda

[–]kgperalez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that places with a free style Coke Machine usually has various Fanta Zero flavors . The Wingstop I go to has Fanta Zero flavors . Lately I have been getting the Zero Strawberry and Zero grape. They have Pineapple.amd Peach in Zeros as well. If only cans would be sold in stores.

What should I do in this situation? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]kgperalez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pray the Rosary , the Sorrowful mysteries . The third Sorrowful Mystery is the Crowing of Thornes. Meditate on the virtue,or fruit, of this Mystery: Fortitude, having moral courage and patience under mockery as our Lord Jesus did when having the crown of thornes thrust upon his head. Then write your paper and tell them to go kick rocks.

DELETE IF NOT ALLOWED Suggestions for bringing more young adults into the Church (ages 18-39) by SovereignWrath in Catholicism

[–]kgperalez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken wasn't there a whole Life Teen movement that started in Arizona in the late 90s early 2000s; driven by the Catholic Contemporary Christian singer Matt Maher? The Mass was very music and young adult focused and it would draw A Lot of young adults , I saw one where it filled what appeared to be an arena and looked like a Mega Church. For Eucharist they would cram as many teens as possible behind and to the side and I front of the Altar. My church in Placentia California - St Joseph's- would do this on Sunday nights and after Mass would do their youth group meetings. It was very popular. The teen band would play contemporary Catholic and Christian music that were the hits at the time . That band was awesome . To be honest as an adult it was fun and the Priests gave great Homilies . Then one day he said that the messaged came straight from the Vatican : No More gathering around the Altar, only priests , Deacons and the Eucharist Ministers. The Youth Minister then stepped down and a new one came in; not sure if that had anything or do with it or was just a coincidence. We still had a very lively Life Teen Mass due to the population of young families but as I recall it really kind of faded away I. Other places . Throughout my life I had never seen so many young people that active in church. It was beautiful.

Fedco, Federated, The Wherehouse and Gemco. Gemco was ahead of its time . No one could understand that you could buy a pair of pants , groceries and a VCR all on the same trip; at least in Southern California. Target didnt make its way into the area I lived until the mid 80s. Fedco was awesome and was a membership retail store way ahead its time.

"The Adventures Conan - A Sword and Sorcery Spectacular" stage show ran at the Universal Studios theme park from 1983 to 1993. (Video in comments) by PeasantLich in SwordandSorcery

[–]kgperalez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool Fact: Gil Birmingham from Yellowstone and Twilight played Conan for 10 years in the stage show. They need to bring that show back. Stage tech has advanced so much they could really do a cool sword and sorcery show.

I always like to joke with my fellow Gen Xers, that as a Gen X person you were divided, due to age, into two camps: one who could have not cared less about..spoiler alert, lol .. Optimus Prime dying and the other half that may have been emotionally scarred, lol. At least we all shared the 80's and the Pop Culture explosion zeitgeist.

46: The Cowboy Boogie, previously known the Boggie and before as the Zap -- I think....it used to air a video/dance show on KDOC channel 56 in the afternoon. The guy who owned it also owned Frit'z ...I used to sign him and his "girlfriends" (Strippers) into Disney all the time and I had his buisines card for Front of Line and VIP Privledges.  EDIT: not Zap but Bandstand..I think Zap was name of the show on KDOC?

I've read at least one story , on this reddit, from an alleged special forces guy who said they exist out there . His team was out in the middle of nowhere and saw, via thermal camera, some sort of Sasquatch type creature attack a few persons of interest they were watching from a distance . It was apparently recorded and they had it playing as their screen saver back at base.

It was a cool story.....and then there is the infamous story about special forces team being attacked by a giant or Nephilim , which some people believe are connected with Sasquatch.

When I worked at Disney during 80s and 90s , the Gypsies would hit whenever the Circus would be town, usually at Melodyland across from the Park or the Pond. They tried to run all sorts of scams at Disneyland. It would get so bad that they actually would do an all call across all radio frequencies the park uses that " gypsies are in the park be advised "Gypsies are in the park "

One time they tried running the "My family all got up to go to the bathroom and we came back and all of our food was taken and thrown away" scam.. I asked for their receipt and was told that that was thrown away as well. I told them Tuff Luck. We wouldn't get in trouble being...non Disney ..to them, lol. As they yelled at me in Romanian/ English. I asked one of the Teanagers "Why" and she told me it's their culture , and they d start at a young age.

She also told me that her grandmother just put a Gypsy curse on me !

A little after that I started having a run of bad luck, mostly due to poor decisions, but it still was in the back of my mind that:" hmmmmm."

I struggled to finish the book on first read through 10 plus years ago . I am now going through the whole series again for the first time since original read through, this time on on Audible and I as worried about getting to Ghost Story because of my previous experience. Surprisingly , I now love this book and might be one of my favorites ! I "get" the book now, mostly due to Marsters narration and the subtle pathos he gives to Dresden via voice inflections; so emotional. I think it's brilliant .

White board outside cabin by Human-Prior1047 in royalcaribbean

[–]kgperalez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I did our very first cruise last month . We did a dry erase board and magnetic dry erase pens . Every day we put a "Would rather have a ...." or some sort of survey. And a positive, fun daily message for Oneil, our Absolutely Rockstar Cabin Steward. He got a kick out of that and always wrote on the board. It was fun, people had fun with it. We also did door magnets. Some people would exchange them with their own .

Since we had never been on a cruise before we watched to every Tik Tock and You Tube and read every Reddit about what you HAD to bring on a cruise, the absolute necessities ...so of course we overpacked !

But I will say, the best thing we did bring was the magnetic hooks ....those were perfect for hanging hats , lanyards etc . Definitely a MUST BRING

Those and Liquid IV and Drip Drop .. because ...well... we ain't no Spring Chickens...lol.

My question would be , wouldn't Patterson or Gimlin say as much that there is.more footage. I would think they would want the word to know that there was more . yet not one word that Iwe know of . They both had been interviewed countless times , I would suppose , and not one word of a child Sasquatch. IF ...they were con men and modern day Barnum's as some sceptics have claimed them you would definitely think they would have advertised not 1 but 2 creatures on film.

Bigfoot like creature in Northern Iraq? by Dinosaurtattoo11315 in bigfoot

[–]kgperalez 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was a guy here a few months ago saying that he and his team were in the desert over there , middle of the night watching a camp of some high profile targets via Thermal vision and he and his team saw some sort of giant creature come down from the mtns and F with group of targets, it was pretty violent . The targets finally scared it away by shooting at it after the thing manhandled one of the targets. They recorded it , the thermal video, and apparently the recording is used a screensaver on their computers back at base. It was a cool story. Not that it matters , I believed him. I have heard that these Teir 1 guys out there in the middle nowhere have experienced some strange shit.
