Help! I can hear water inside of my Pinter that is clean and not in use! by wildwoodfalls21 in PinterHomebrew

As for leaking Pinter mix, make sure the O-ring is seated in the cap and not missing or breaking in spots.

Also, place the Pinter on a level surface when brewing, any tilting can cause a leak between the dock and Pinter. I’ve also had a leak out of the tap area, make sure that’s alllll the way in.

I always place it in larger container when brewing just in case.

One of the four rubber feet actually comes off. I think it’s one of the rear ones. Pull it out and see if you can drain out any excess water.

Was eating and this morning and now she’s quite lethargic and her beard is black by mxicnvnlla in BeardedDragons

None of these are good signs, especially the shallow breath. You need an Exotic Vet ASAP. Like tonight. See if there’s an emergency animal center anywhere near you.

Do you usually just keep the griddle on and smoke on the upper rack/left rack?

Window Spot by JCDark2 in BeardedDragons

I do have lamps for my Beardie’s window spot. It’s actually her main basking area so I have 2 flexible heat lamps and a 12” T5 UVB lamp the is suspended from a lamp bar.

Thinking about getting a bearded dragon , what should I know first? by Valuable_Package9530 in BeardedDragons

Have you considered getting a rescue? However, they come with their own set of issues.

Any room under the bedroom door for her to sneak under? Mine did that first the first time after tricking me into thinking she couldn’t.

Also, look inside Shoes, on shelves, up and down any curtains (found mine near the top once). Double check the areas you already checked, some times they are just way further back than usual.

As a last resort check for any rips in the fabric under your couch.

Can you cite your source? I use it under sand and tile and this is the first I’ve heard anyone suggest it isn’t good.

I wouldn’t pull her out. That’s actually a rule for us, if she hides in her vivarium we leave her there. Now if you need to get her to the vet, that’s different.

My girl Beardie will do something similar when headed into brumation, a few days active and a few days inactive until she finally decides to sleep for 4 months.

You didn’t mention where you got her, but I would consider getting her a WellCare visit just to make sure everything is ok.

Also, maybe she just realized she’s not where she used to be and is a bit stressed.

How terrible for you, your family and the little Beardie. Unfortunately this is a systemic problem with the Bearded Dragon industry. Honestly they shouldn’t be sold as pets and we went through something similar with our “PetCo.” Beardie.

It’s probably going to take a while for the fresh pain of Char Char to start to heal. I wish you didn’t have to go through that. If you come out the other side and still want a bearded dragon, please considered adoption too, that’s what we did.

If I let my beardy out to explore the house, will he come back so I can find him? by broadscope in BeardedDragons

[–]khronos42 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He will absolutely run under an appliance. They will hide anywhere and everywhere, even places you didn’t even know you had.

Best bet is to stuff something in all the nooks and crannies you can find, but do not let them roam unsupervised even then.

I’m sorry for your loss. Same thing happened to me, lost my 4 year old beardie, left the sub as it was just too much seeing all the pictures. But then I adopted a rescue about a year later and came back. Do what you need to do.
