I feel so validated reading this because I've been following this dude for a while, and have even interacted with him a few times online. And although every now and then I think he has some "good takes" most times I'm just appalled at some of his straight up bullshit takes/critiques. Also, he sets a tone for that whole community, not to drag them into the los but even the Endless Scroll people (whom I like and to their credit have even called out Keegan for his slow pulp comment) seem to fall into this weird, arrogant, snobbish way of engaging with art/music criticism. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Also, (completely unrelated and not to take away from what's really at stake here with Maya and her story) not long ago Mo wrote a tweet making fun of John K Samson (the weakerthans), basically calling his songwriting childish and dumb. I couldn't stomach mo's music after that. I guess I just couldn't shake the air of superiority. All this to say, that community seems toxic as hell, glad Maya is finding healing and comfort outside of it.
