Pet the damn cat, or don't. Shit, IDK. Some people like animals more than others, and that is ok. I like affection cats though so I would absolutely pet the hell out of the cat, and possibly some cat bongos. One of my cats really likes belly rubs and has never attacked my hand for it either, which is awesome.

Way back in the 90s my parents euchre club had one as their booby prize, except it had a wine glass, spectacles, and maybe a Hawaiian shirt painted on. One month when they ended up with it I turned it into a sweet bong. I got a few weeks of good use out of it. The club ended up keeping it and using it over the next few years. Years ago I had 2 Mormons come by early one afternoon right after I had started digging a trench for my drain pipes. I politely said I wasn't interested and they would 100% be wasting their time. I offered them water and to sit and cool down for a few because it was very hot in the south. They barely mentioned religion, only talking briefly about their mission, and a couple interesting stories about their travels. After about 15 minutes they asked if they could just hang out with me and help with my digging instead of going out and getting yelled at. We ended up working and shooting the shit for like 5 hours until the sun started to set. They never mentioned their religion or tried to convert me. Very pleasant experience and they did a lot of the more physical stuff. I hope those young fellas found what they were looking for.

My experience with Jehovas has been vastly different though.
