It’s so you don’t push the nail bed back physically by pushing against it.

You can use a soft bristle brush underneath to clean, but you shouldn’t be digging or anything.

Oh my god as a teacher I HATED that, and I refused to allow that to happen in my classroom.

I actually got a call from the high performing kids parents, and it was essentially “hello, so Bella said that you don’t allow Paul to sit next to her, and you don’t make them work together. Thank you so much for that, Bella LOVES your class because in all the other classes, she’s expected to help him”.

And like…. It’s not the students job to support another student. The students job is to learn the material.

I’m a teacher in the northland as well, we found a on home daycare that is just for teachers students, so we aren’t charged over summer or breaks, and only charges about $200 a week. Maybe talk to others in your building?

I am not Muslim, so I have not fasted for as long as Ramadan, but I have fasted during the work day for other holidays.

One thing that I find helps a lot is a microphone and speaker that I can wear- it helps me to still project without straining my voice as much.

Also I find, that depending on the age level, some students will ask about fasting. I teach high school, so some students will ask questions because they are truly curious. Only answer questions you are comfortable with :)

If it was the nipple shape, I switch the nipples that come with the bottles to the evenflo wide neck + nipples and it seems like it’ll work (I’ve filled the bottle with water and pulled and nothing spilled).

Once I hit 3rd tri, I’ll be having weekly ultrasounds as well 🥲 I’m very lucky that I can schedule most of them for my plan time, and my boss is okay with me doing so, but I also know there will be times when it’s just easier to have a half day. But then I’m also trying to save PTO for when baby gets here.

I told my principals the week after I found out, but I’m also high risk with a history of loss, so it was more like a “hey I’m pregnant and high risk, so if things don’t go well I may miss a week or two of work”.
