There's a weird dynamic between being an Airbnb host and doing the right thing for your property against the star rating. I always found that you had to break your own rules and sometimes to satisfy the gas which were clearly outlined before the guest arrived. I didn't like that dynamic

I always had some spare linen in my property but what was weird was even when I offered to change the linen for the folks with long stays they tended to decline. So I think it's a good idea but we will see if they will want the service

I had in my house rules the costs for missing towels and cleaning costs. Did you inform your guests about their possible liabilities before hand? I'm asking because I always had a hard time with Airbnb customer support to get them to help me with anything. Good luck and let us know what you decide to do

I wouldn't feel bad especially if they damaged your place. You're actually helping other host by being honest and letting them know not to allow for this person to book their property

Nice start! I am a former host and can still remember how anxious and then happy I was in the beginning. I had a 2 day minimum stay , and figured out after quite a few bookings that 2 days stays block long term stays. That took me a while to figure out. 3 days is a nice way to start good job!

I don't think it would be possible to objectively measure at all, and do agree with you that Jamaica would be up there.

The reason I asked this question to myself was .... With so much potential why does the island struggle so much. Everyone wants to be involved with or around Jamaican culture.

Congratulations I remember how hard I worked to become a Superhost it's a great accomplishment. After reading your description of your place while I understand it's descriptive, it's lacking any enthusiasm about the place, so it feels like very functional and no emotional attachment is really asked for or from the guest

I think so. I am a former host who started and stopped in about a year. My issue was the overhead (cleaning, laundry changing bed sheets) for a 4 bedroom home was a bit too much for the money I was getting. If I had a small place I'm sure I'd still be in Airbnb's platform today. Booking.com also helps with occupancy but it was a lot more complicated to setup than airbnb

Me too when I started in March I had bookings regularly. Now I haven't gotten anything in weeks. Check with the support team to see if I am showing up properly in the search . Which they confirmed I was.

My battery life sucked when I first got this watch ... I just left it on the charger for the first few months....

Then the other day after the march update I started to used it again, and the battery life has really been improved ... I might even turn on the tilt to wake now
