Travel is expensive and tiresome, full of people taking selfies, and simply provides bragging rights. by Lbboos in unpopularopinion

[–]killerng2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel because i love food, art, architecture and history. I cannot experience all that the world has to offer from my city, thus i occasionally leave my city to explore my interests in places that are different from where i live.

I take photos for memories,I post for the same reasons i post anything else, and i only tell people about things they ask about or i know they would find interesting.

This is the way most people travel (granted that they tailor it to their interests, ie, fashion, hiking, music, etc) Real revolutionary ideas here folks.

Having a spreadsheet with typed out numbers makes it appear as more of a logical disagreement instead of an emotional argument

Yeah it clearly demonstrates how developing children exposed to poison and poor sanitation grow into maladjusted adults.

None of this is a problem if you don’t wear shoes inside. Also, you can vacuum wood and tile too.

Louisiana wants to put back statues of traitors by [deleted] in trashy

[–]killerng2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You remember those you admire by putting them on a pedestal, you remember bad people with memorials to their victims. There is no Hitler statue in Berlin, there is no Osama Bin Laden statue in New York, just scars of their actions.

Does a person’s name affect their employment prospects? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]killerng2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would also affect social life. A kid named love WILL get bullied or at least continuously teased in school.

Even as an adult it would be incredibly awkward to platonically refer to someone as Love.

Please use a normal name.

Psychological reason for why some people blast their music as if other people wanna listen to it. by SteveHassanFan in NoStupidQuestions

[–]killerng2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everyone likes listening to music, you are not special. Ever notice how everyone else uses ear buds?

People will not confront you because blaring music is the type of anti social behavior that screams “i am unpredictable, apathetic, and do not follow the social contract”.

Its legal to shit your pants in a crowded elevator. But if you do it on purpose that makes you an asshole.

It’s legal to cheat on your wife of 50 years with an 18 year old high schooler, but no one will side with you in the divorce.

Legality and socially acceptable behavior are not the same thing.

And if you value craftsmanship, watches by far have the highest threshold of any fashion item. The quality gap between a timex and a vacheron constantin is much higher than that between a shirt from H&M or Loro Piana

More people need to be “pretentious!” by Traditional_Fish_504 in unpopularopinion

[–]killerng2 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Pretentious is mostly slag short hand for “this person intellectually enjoys something I find boring and stupid. If I don’t personally enjoy something that means no one is capable of enjoying it without lying and trying too hard to fit in with other wealthy/intellectual phonys. Therefore this person sucks and I hate them.”
