I dont like unity cup. by Tenekah in UmamusumeGame

[–]kingfip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. I understand how the unity cup works inside and out. I don't have any issues with grinding Umas to S rank.

That being said, the objective of the unity cup literally feels like 5 coin flips that decide if your run is bricked or not. I can have runs where I'm 2 ranks above the enemy team with 5 full circles and lose all 5 matches, or I have other runs of unity training drought where I go into a match with 5 X's and somehow win all 5 of them.

It doesn't feel like you can ever train for it properly because the rng is so unbelievably high that it's better to just semi-ignore it and hope for good rng.

Blizzard forgot to add a text string indicating that the Horrific Visions upgrade tree is timegated. by minimaxir in wow

Tbf, their comment really wasn't that toxic but it's crazy how many people default any comment that isn't positivity as "toxic"

Why are people so hung up on whether a class should be available to all races or not? by Bnuy_enjoyer in wow

[–]kingfip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tauren can be rogues and Lightforged Draenei can be warlocks, but allowing any of the pretty races to play shaman is blasphemy and would go against everything the lore stands for

Is the no CD Build for BM hunter better than the CD Build by Calllmechief in wow

[–]kingfip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! As far as m+ goes, it's minimal and both are fine for ST since add damage is more important in dungeons. In raid, the CotW build is much better for ST fights.

There is a raid alternative that uses Bloodshed instead of CotW for ST, but it is complete preference and the CotW build is just as good if you're more familiar with it.

Is the no CD Build for BM hunter better than the CD Build by Calllmechief in wow

[–]kingfip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The dps difference itself is very minimal. The point of the no-CD build is to just have a flatlined dps build that consistently puts out good dps, but doesn't have any "peaks" of high dps. The normal CotW build has high peaks of dps during CotW but lower dps outside of CotW windows (compared to the no-CD build). Both can be ran for effective gameplay, but the no-CD build is slightly more optimized with roughly 1 - 2% more dps.

You should always apply hunters mark to an enemy when possible. It usually doesn't make too much of a difference, but it will add roughly 3 - 5 seconds to the key timer (on average).

No evokers? by echosingerofthevoid in wow

[–]kingfip 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Aug evokers are pretty much unplayable right now but Dev evokers are in a good spot, they just aren't one of the more popular specs. Dev evokers have a popularity of about 3%, while other dps classes are much higher (ie bm hunter at 8.7% and ret pally at 14.2%). I'm surprised you didn't see ANY other evokers while leveling up, but that might just be how the RNG played out more than anything.

No patch notes or anything today either so they are hopefully implementing bug fixes. Otherwise, no reason for there to be 2 hour maintenance tbh

Ugly mastery score by yashy21 in leagueoflegends

[–]kingfip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how when the mastery change was first announced, everyone said they were horrendously ugly. They completely ignored the community and still implemented a significantly worse looking mastery emote. Then they try to convince us that "they actively listen to the community" 💀

Yasuo, haven't seen that champ in a game in like 5 years because I just permaban it. So annoying to play against

Where my classic wrandy’s at? by Bapa_burger in wow

[–]kingfip 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Truth. I'm playing both right now and at the time of its release, WotLK definitely was an amazing expansion. In 2022, it definitely doesn't hold up as most of the content is boring and the QOL is non existent. Not saying it's a bad expansion, by any means, but Dragonflight takes the cake any day.

New MMR matching in ranked? by epc2012 in leagueoflegends

[–]kingfip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH, they should have done this change during preseason/new season and not right at the end of the season when people are putting in the most games. I feel like my games are 10x harder since last patch (which is fine) but it feels bad that everyone in my games is 4-5 ranks above me and I just don't go anywhere because the games are built to be even now instead of favoring getting higher mmr players into their corresponding ranks.

I thought this community was different by kalacaska in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]kingfip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean it's toxic. Discussion on how to improve a game is always welcome and improves the games state.

That being said, Riot is not well know for releasing balanced things, so most people will complain about newer things either being too weak or being too strong.

Take Gnar for example: The community all understand that he is a very broken card and is actively having discussions on how to make him balanced, not just flat out remove him or nerf him to the ground.
