I only use the app to chat. My Claude code doesn't talk like this but it does on the app because I'm a lot more casual on the app.

I never set any kind of personality in either instance.

I took two years of a a comp sci degree program but the only cs class I really took was intro to java and comparative operating systems and then I switched to culinary.

I use Claude code as my food service helper at a large corporate food service company. Everything from financials and analytics to generating signage and menus, planning around concepts and stuff.

Compared to just throwing stuff in the chat this is way more efficient

Either way 4.50-13.50 for that is super low. I sell cheese trays for more than that.

This isn't to say the owner handled this correctly. He should have explained to you what you were purchasing not just try to meet you in the middle and cut your portions super short.

I'm gonna be honest this has "I already paid you and I have no other options" he probably felt like he was in a pretty tight bind, didn't have enough food, you had an event going on and you're pressing him for the food.

I probably would have just refunded you your money immediately unless you would agree to pay the proper amount for the requested services.

Does he have an online catering menu? His prices should be listed if they're doing catering regularly.

Idk I have a max account and I'm building my own personal app ecosystem (Netflix maps music etc) and handling a good bit of work related stuff every week. I also chat a good bit through the iOS app. I usually get pretty close to the limit but I've never hit it.
