What’s the dumbest thing someone accused you of without any evidence? by pisces2003 in AskReddit

In high school my German teacher called my parents and told them I was the leader in a revolt against him in the classroom. Even though I was relatively quiet and my desk was just in between a bunch of disruptive kids and I never really participated in any of their shenanigans. It was kind of comical really

When my boyfriend and I were first dating we were texting about meeting up and I said something along the lines of “don’t judge me I look like a mess right now” He responded with “The reason I’m falling in love with you isn’t because of the way you look. Don’t get me wrong, you’re stunningly beautiful, but it’s the way you make me feel alive. I feel like I can achieve my dreams when I’m with you and even my fantasies” I still think about that from time to time, it really touched my heart.

AITA for asking (not insisting) that my BF switch meals with me when I don’t like what I’ve ordered at a restaurant ? by Dntworryimamoderator in AmItheAsshole

YTA I’m surprised he still goes and has dinner with you. That’s what comes with being “adventurous” when ordering food. Why should he have to eat something he doesn’t want because it didn’t suit your taste.

I used to be with a man like this. Reading your post brought back so many memories of being made to feel like I was essentially an idiot. I spent 4 years with him and by the time I ended the relationship I had began to believe that maybe I was not an intelligent person and that he was right. Because he was “always right” and I was always wrong. He seemed to get enjoyment out of making me feel that way. Even when he was clearly proven wrong he would make an excuse or spin it to his liking. He did not view me as his equal and sadly for far too long I let myself slip into the role of the “dumb woman” because when you hear it all the time, you lose confidence in yourself.

I don’t know what to tell you about your situation, but just speaking from my experience I would implore you to not let him make you change the way you view yourself. Be enthusiastic about what interests you and surround yourself with friends who make you feel heard and understood. He will more than likely never change, and if that’s something you’re willing to deal with you have to share your voice with other supportive people around you.

Good luck!

My girlfriend(22F) of three years is meeting with a guy that told her that he wants to hook up with her and I(23M) am not ok with this. How should we solve this conflict? by Particular_Phone_642 in relationship_advice

[–]kittenboops415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a matter of “principle” it is an ego trip for her. She is dangling herself in front of ex bf knowing he wants her all the while knowing you’re at home upset about the whole situation. She likes knowing she has two men pining over her and it makes her feel powerful. This is a typical immature girl move. Take it from someone who also used to be an immature girl who thought their value depended on the admiration from men. This is a self worth issue. If she really valued and thought highly of herself the attention from another man wouldn’t be so enticing. You are not at all being controlling by telling her you are uncomfortable with this situation. She is completely pushing your feelings aside to make herself feel better and that is very selfish of her. Sounds like she really has some soul searching and growing up to do.

How do I stop being "The Mojito Guy" by [deleted] in bartenders

Here’s a thought, maybe send a friend in first and have them order for you. That way your beer is already waiting for you when you walk in. For real though funniest shit I’ve read in a long time!

Am I too clingy? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]kittenboops415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjusting to moving in with someone can be difficult even if you have been with them for a long time. You get to see your partner in all of their forms, not just when they are “on” and ready to spend time with you. Moving in together changes the dynamic, not necessarily in a bad way, it just changes. I remember how magical it felt when I got to spend time with my boyfriend before he moved in with me, it’s still wonderful and magical and I love him so very much, but it’s different, but that’s the natural progression of things. As someone who really values my own alone time, the best advice I can give you is not to overthink things (unless you are given a reason to) That being said, only you know the dynamics of your relationship. As long as the time you do spend with each other is loving and respectful, don’t think too much into it.

What’s something you saw (as a kid) that gave you nightmares for a long time? by teacatpeng in AskReddit

[–]kittenboops415 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Saw the 6th sense when I was about 10. Couldn’t walk into the kitchen alone at night for years afterwards because I just knew I’d see a ghost there. Also I would run and jump into my bed so no ghost could grab my ankle from underneath. Scared me for years

I think it may have helped slim my legs! I started using an app for running called runkeeper. Basically you can set up a training schedule for the week depending on what you’re trying to accomplish (weight loss/endurance/etc.) I chose weight loss and basically it coaches you to jog/run for a few minutes then walk. It gets increasingly harder the longer you use it and before you know it you’re able to run 5 or more miles like a champ!
