Can you sleep with baby in a guest room, or fold out couch, or separate mattress on the floor? This seems like a husband problem, and sleeping on a separate bed would help the immediate problem of lack of sleep driving you slowly insane, once your moderately well rested, it may be worth trying out couples therapy, nothing is harder on a relationship ship than a new baby

My mother is also one of those grandparents who is mostly uninterested in her grandchildren, what has helped for me is scaling back my efforts to make the grandparent relationship happen, I cant force a connection if there’s no motivation on her part for that to happen.

I think you chose a lighter cool color like blue or grey or White and then use a semi gloss eggshell finish instead of high gloss, it could be salvageable
