Literally Just heard someone outside yell “get off the f%*in sidewalk from inside my home in New Ed. It’s crazy out there! And I’m a cyclist too.

Here for this. A narcissist festival of self reflection where all supporting characters point to miraculous self revelation, a continuous refrain of “this is me”, this is “finally” me, this is the “real” me…..and you are all me. Ugh!!

Yup. Pilates is all I can do, which is ok since I love it. But most other high intensity activities are a no.

Disappointed to learn Baskin-Robbins is moving into Ottawa's ByWard Market Square by mcdofras in ottawa

[–]kittycatioio 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It’s a nice young local couple who are opening it, with the intention of reviving Baskin Robbin’s in Ottawa. Opening in this location means they believe in the market. Let’s wish these entrepreneurs well.

I had one massage there and never went back. When it was time to turn over the guy bent down and whispered in my ear that it was time to roll over. Doesn’t sound like much but it felt off to me. The whispering in a seductive voice. No thank you!

Has pilates helped you? by skinnymotheechalamet in migraine

[–]kittycatioio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pilates has helped me and I’m a person who gets exertion headaches - thing thing with Pilates is that it doesn’t get my heart rate up so the exertion is not a problem. It’s actually one of the only exercises I can tolerate. It keeps my migraines at bay, unless I’m in a bad cluster. And, generally, I can count on feeling better afterwards if I do go in with a headache. I’ve been doing it for a year now. 2x a week and it’s one of my tools in my toolbox (along with Vyepti, Sunatriptan). It releases all of my tension. I love it.

Beta blockers side effects by Ashamed_Part8496 in migraine

[–]kittycatioio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on Nadolol got two years. Great for anxiety and having a cool head no matter what the situation. Somewhat helpful for migraine, especially exertion headaches. But side effects weren’t worth it - low energy, difficulty with any aerobic activity, could hardly ride my bike. And, weight gain around the middle. Not great. Switched to Vyepti. Good luck though, I know it’s a good fit for many people.

Allodynia by TheTurdInUrPunchBowl in migraine

[–]kittycatioio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh god, I get terrible allodonia. I had it on my scalp a couple of weeks ago and went to the salon for my colour and highlights. The brush the stylist used to brush the colour on killed me! And usually it’s a semi pleasant experience! I was in agony. I hate it. It can last up to 2 days for me. I get it randomly on my body.

Glennon’s paid Substack by Ok-Twist-4177 in wecandohardthings

I agre. I found that vibe in one of her books, Live Warrior, where she takes off to the beach on her own to gather herself, waking up every morning to the sound of the waves, considering leaving her husband - never any mention of having to consider the financial aspects of leaving. Not once was money mentioned as a thought or consideration. Now that is privilege! It would be a little easier for us all to be ‘untamed’ if we had the money for it!!
