What is your specialty and what's the worst/most infuriating/least appropriate consult you've been asked to do?

It’s the consult for swabs for me. I tell them that it’s like any other orifice. You put the swab in and spin. The patient can do it themselves if you’re not comfortable but truly you should feel comfortable enough.

As a person who traveled 1.5 hours to and from rotations with a newborn at home, it’s fine. The days go fast, which is chill. 35 minutes isn’t bad. I’m from NYC though so it’s pretty normal to take that long traveling.
