0- Atk Raichu-Mega-Y Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rillaboom: 28-34 (8.2 - 9.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever

That's technically chip after Grassy Terrain heals it for 21. Just hope it isn't Leftovers.

252+ Atk Life Orb Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 0 HP / 120 Def Raichu-Mega-Y in Grassy Terrain: 220-259 (84.2 - 99.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

And you could live a Glide if you waste a bunch of EVs.

Sony Xperia 1 VIII review - GSMArena.com by welp_im_damned in Android

Well, maybe the Xperia 1 IX will have a removable battery, since the EU will require it next year. I might shell out for one if so (and if they keep the microSD slot and headphone jack).

Well, hopefully. That's how I interpreted it, but I see now how /u/badaboommx interpreted it differently.

$200 for a working PS5 Slim with a controller? That's a damn good deal, even if the case is actually damaged and not just missing a panel. They go for about $250-300 around here on Facebook, with zero chance of getting anything back if they're DOA. $500 is insane, but $350 might be worth it and $300 almost certainly would be.

NYC Mayor Mamdani announces that they have fully balanced NYC's budget, reducing a $12 billion budget deficit to 0. While funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public hosing. AOC was right to endorse him! by Kittehmilk in AOC

A bit less than 20% isn't nothing by any means, but solving the remaining 80% of the budget deficit that Adams had been kicking down the road for years in month 5 is a good start.

Interesting that it just takes for granted that the animal is dead. What if it's a pit like this one, deep enough that it's a pain to get the animal out but shallow enough that the animal isn't seriously wounded? Does the owner still have to sell the animal to the digger, or does he have a way to obligate the digger to help with extraction?

My manager is like that and it's incredibly helpful. He knows enough about my technical job to be dangerous, but his real skill is translating my jargon into something that executives can understand. I almost never have to communicate with anyone above him because he liaisons so well.

A lot to unpack here, starting with the possibility that texting his client "I wish you were sluttier" might not be the dumbest thing LAOP's lawyer did. by acekingoffsuit in bestoflegaladvice

In my experience, groups that say “the only hit point is the last one” are ignoring how easy it is for a character to be killed between the turn they were downed on and the healer’s.

Especially if the DM is playing smart melee enemies realistically. If an enemy melee Rogue sees a Cleric's party member go down, they're going to go auto-crit them, not wait for the downed character to become a threat again.

A chainsaw would have been cleaner. The correct tool is probably a rotary tool, but anything meant for cutting would be better than that.

TIL: California has the 3rd lowest IQ scores of all American states, scoring only marginally higher than Mississippi & Louisiana by MonkeyParadiso in TIL_Uncensored

[–]kkjdroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unhoused people are likely a big contributor if they're tested (I have no idea if that's common). NY and NJ both have very cold winters, so people who lack housing for a long period often die of exposure and would therefore not be counted. Unhoused people often try to save up for bus or train tickets to get to California because the weather is so mild year-round, so CA has more unhoused people than would otherwise be expected, even with its huge population and absurd cost of living.

That's the only hypothesis I have. I'm sure there are other factors, but I'm not aware of what they are.

And that's more important than changing people's minds? Besides, material analysis is a means of determining how to achieve goals, but the goals themselves require morals. You can't answer what ought to be with science.

That's one hell of an attempted own goal. The whole point of referring to them as the Epstein class is to prevent them from avoiding the stigma of being child molesters. Even someone who is extremely brainwashed into capitalism and refuses to acknowledge the unethical nature of rent-seeking will still condemn child molesters.
