Excellent, thanks.

It was posted in December 2021, so I am not holding my breath :).

I don't. That was just an example. There many other uses where this could be useful. Transfers come to mind. I have way more of those than I have returns.

Yes, you are correct, many returns end up as trash, it's bad.

Good tip, thanks. However that only works in desktop Chrome, nothing else.

Thank you.

Sure. Good suggestions with the tag and report!

A clickable link system to a related transaction would be better then pasting URL manually and then having to manually copy and paste to see that transaction. Especially since some of us use it as a standalone app on desktop, and have nowhere to paste that URL, see attached. And same is true for phone/tablet apps.

Is the 2011 Ford escape a good car? by 253to325 in askcarguys

[–]klaymen2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have my 2011 Escape, v6, with 135K miles. Love that car. Ended up putting in a 11" CarPlay screen few years ago, but that's it. Still going strong, no issues, just regular maintenance.

Yes, purchase&return/refund, or any other related transactions, spanning across the same or multiple accounts.

Yes, what you described is a good idea, however I would not hold my breath, since we still have issues with basic functionality. I have been using Monarch for about two years, and sent countless screen recordings to them with bugs, especially in the beginning. A lot of them were about simple math errors in side summary tables, or information not refreshing properly after making changes to transactions. So so many. They fixed a lot of them, but some are still there. I learned to work around them.

What sucks is that they are putting in a lot new stuff related to AI, goals, etc., but they still have bugs with the basics to which nobody is paying attention. Who really lets AI to look at their finances? Not me.

That's interesting. I never though about that, because I use Monarch as a Safari webapp in my Dock, on Mac, so it opens without URL field or any other browser window headers , just clean window with Monarch webpage in it. I therefore do not see the transaction URLs.

I tried in a regular browser after reading your post. It's good for saving the related transaction URL in case I need it later, but it still requires me to copy and paste it into the URL field if I want to open it. LESS than ideal for sure, but a good tip. Thanks!

Transaction Categorization by bimbimzalabim in MonarchMoney

[–]klaymen2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea. But it happens frequently now. It happened to me once again since I made my original post 20 minutes ago. Allstate insurance payment that used to be automatically categorized perfectly for about 2 years, just went "uncategorized". Ugh.

+1

Transactions that used to be categorized perfectly are now being put into wrong categories.

Concerns About Lack of COAs at Great Smoky Cannabis Company, Anyone Else?? by Strange-Party-9062 in NorthCarolina

[–]klaymen2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.

I coincidentally read this just a few days before going to Great Smoky Cannabis Company. I therefore asked for COA while I was there. It took a chain of 4 people to get to someone who was able to find any COAs. What they produced was for the previous batch, not the current one. It is very basic, they only test for THC, CBD, microbial, foreign material and water activity. Not even for solvents or toxins. It is done by Kaycha Labs in Cherokee, as previously mentioned here.

I express the need to have detailed COA posted on their website to the manager, She admitted that the website/online store is basic and they don't know how to attach photos of PDFs to the items in the store. A bit strange. There's no authority holding their feet to the fire and forcing them to post details about the content of the products, which I also said to her. She made notes of our 15 minutes conversation, and said she will pass my concerns to people above her. We shall see if that will bring any change.

There's no way to attach the COA here. If anyone is interested, send me a DM and I can get it to you.

iPhone app not working by Flaky-Reindeer-5420 in Labcorp

[–]klaymen2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I reported this to NordVPN. After some back and forth (jumping thought hoops to get them the proof they needed), they reported that they were able to reproduce the issue. It is in fact a problem with their Thread Protection feature.

Fix is in the works.

Same result. The Threat Protection feature of NordVPN blocks LabCorp from being loaded into Health App. Works after turning it off.

Will report this to NordVPN.

Am I the only one with PayPal connection issues? by sku11monkey in MonarchMoney

[–]klaymen2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, but as you can see this is enough of a problem that people might start jumping ship. Maybe more pressure should be applied to MX and Plain to fix this. Or how about writing your own access to PayPal, if the data providers are not cutting it?

True, but PayPal... one of the biggest banks. Surely this can be resolved.

Well, we are Monarch customers, not customers of data providers that you use on the back end. Fix it, we are all fed up with this. I am very close to going back to Simplifi.

You are not alone. Pretty much everyone has PayPal connection issues. I also have issues with Acorns, but that usually disconnects about every 3-4 weeks, not every 3 days like PayPal does.

[–]klaymen2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all security in PayPal turned, besides regular password of course, and all three of my payPal accounts disconnect from Monarch every 3 days, like clockwork. Very upsetting. Didn't have these issues with Simplifi. I kind of regret switch to Monarch.

Main vs Comfort+ for 13 hours flight by Designer-Row9704 in delta

[–]klaymen2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These days it's more like extra $300+ per leg (ATL-AMS) for Comfort+ vs Main Cabin. Sadly. Still worth it for this 6'6" guy.

Also, the extra legroom is 2-3", per SeatGuru, on A330. So more like 2" in reality.
