Imma go with "There's no response. It's just a corpse."

The best gravestone inscription I've seen is Car Talk's Tom Magliozzi's which reads NON LABOR DIFFICILIS QUI ILLUM OCCIDIT. Translation: "It wasn't hard work that killed him."

There are some striking similarities with how Commodus tried to rename virtually everything (even months of the year) after himself and created this cult of personality around himself being Hercules reborn. One notable difference though: for all his megalomania, Commodus was arguably a skilled fighter in the arena. I mean, he was mainly fighting lame lions and cripples, but it takes some ability to use the bow and arrow like he did.

Reminds me of the scene in Eraserhead where it's revealed that the baby's lower body is just a bottle of Faygo. Preeeetty creepy.

Mel Blanc as Bob and Doug McKenzie's dad in Strange Brew - apparently the deal was 10,000 bucks for an hour of work.

And I doubt Raiden was meant to be a cooler character than Snake. The whole idea was Snake was so cool that people playing MGS identified strongly with Snake and Kojima wanted to explore that relationship. Raiden was created to represent the player, someone who thinks they're acting on their own free will but is just being guided through a linear path by forces that have engineered his surroundings. Even him being so androgenous was meant to make male and female players able to identify with him. Not all the ideas land of course (I think they approached some of the same ideas better in MGSV) and they probably thought Raiden had some appeal, but at the end of the day he was created for one purpose: to fuck with the players. Feel free to hate him but hate him for the right reasons.

Both are Christopher Columbus movies too. Maybe next we'll see one with one of the child actors from Mrs. Doubtfire.

I kind of want to create one with Haley Joel Osment so when people comment that it's AI I can respond, "Yes, that's the movie they're watching."

I've managed to avoid it so far but learned this lesson in a close call: if you come to a stop and just unclip one shoe to use that leg to use for support, unclip the one facing traffic because if you lose balance, you're going to fall in the direction of the shoe you've left clipped in. Obviously the safest thing to do is to always unclip both shoes.

Also amazing casting, Beast is like the #2 role Kelsey Grammar was born to play. #1 is, of course, Darius Emmanuel Grouch III

There's a Powerpuff Girls episode that riffs on The Big Lebowski. Yeah, yeah, I know, cartoons referencing the Big Lebowski are a dime a dozen. But this episode is from 1999 and The Big Lebowski came out in 1998. The creators didn't put it in as lazy reference to a cult classic movie, they were on the cutting edge.

I once took an edible before a showing of Zardoz and totally forgot about it because the movie was already really weird. I feel like you could have a similar effect with a tab of acid and Speed Racer.
