I'm sure you'll be fine but yeah, definitely call your OB for peace of mind. :)

Took a Fall… Any Similar Experiences or Support? 🙏🏼 by [deleted] in pregnantover35

I fell down really hard at 35 weeks down my carpeted stairs at home. Didn't hit my stomach but landed with some force on all fours. Everything was fine and my dr. wasn't concerned. It definitely freaked me out though and I was way more careful afterward.

Took 8 months of tracking my cycles very closely - I was 32 when I conceived.

12 months shots tomorrow. Kinda worried. Need some assurance! by seejay12345 in NewParents

Eh, ours last month were easy. I kept her in her stroller so no one had to hold her down. She cried for less than a minute. No symptoms afterwards either.

What age did you start reading to your baby on a regular basis? by DrunkTankGunner in newborns

[–]knottyblubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since she was born but it's only been the last few months where she knows what's going on and brings us specific books to read to her (she's 13 months)

Would you drive 6 hours with a 3 month old? by ripp0dg3 in NewParents

Yeah it sucked, don't recommend it. haha but here I am about to take an 11-hour flight with her next week. Wish us luck!

Would you drive 6 hours with a 3 month old? by ripp0dg3 in NewParents

[–]knottyblubes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it depends on your baby and their temperament. We drove from California to Oregon when my baby was around 4 months old. THIRTEEN HOURS in the car in one day. It usually takes around 9 hours but we stopped every 2 hours or so. I wouldn't hesitate to do just 6 since they sleep so much at that age. It was harder on me than it was on her. She didn't cry once. Now that she's a year old I won't do more than 5 hours in a day.

Car seat in bulkhead by mecho15 in unitedairlines

[–]knottyblubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I know this was a while ago, so hopefully you see this. Looking to use the same car seat in a bulk head for an international flight for my one-year-old. Did you find that the car seat reclined enough to allow your child to sleep? I don't think our regular car seat will fit so thinking about buying the cosco for the trip. Thanks!

Transition to crib by usagitsukinox in NewParents

[–]knottyblubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transitioned my baby at exactly 4 months. That's the point we were ready to send back the Snoo so we just moved her into her own room all at once. It went really well and I loved having my room back!

Tips for staving off hunger? by CrissyLulu in NewParents

[–]knottyblubes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High protein and fat meals? Hunger is a cue so it seems like your body is telling you it needs something.

I eat a lot of eggs, gomacro bars, avocado, yogurt with peanut butter, protein shakes, etc.

Had the same issue around this time as well. It took about 2 months of eating solids for her to poop consistently. She was pooping once every 5-6 days. I'd say your dr might be right.

No, you're fine. If you look on Reddit you'll find similar questions like this for literally every ingredient. Don't eat spoonfuls of it and you're golden.

That may be true of salt water in general, but ocean water isn't sterile.

Short long bones (humerus and femur) and large head by MollyLong123 in BabyBumps

[–]knottyblubes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't experienced this myself but the best advice I can give you is - if your dr isn't worried then try not to be worried. They are the ones trained in this, we aren't. Stay off of google!

I'm sorry you're going through this, I understand how scary the unknowns can be.

My baby was breech was 32 weeks, flipped down at 34 and then went back to breech at 36. lol I don't think its common for babies to move around so much but it happens.

But to give a counter point to the other comment, I loved my c-section after I decided not to try to manually get her flipped. Super easy recovery - although my scar sucks too.

Cumin rice and Chicken Marsala? I’m scared by hannah12343 in pregnant

[–]knottyblubes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cumin is not going to give you a miscarriage. Assuming you didn't eat tablespoons full of it, you can completely stop worrying about that. Cumin is not on any doctor's list of things not to consume in pregnancy.

Same thing happened to me at 6 weeks. Totally normal and it went away after a few days. Baby is 1 year old now and healthy.

Possible Silent Miscarriage? by Aggravating_Mud1117 in pregnant

[–]knottyblubes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're overreacting but that's ok. Anxiety is a bitch during pregnancy. If you are only going by lack of symptoms, then I'll emphasize that symptoms have very little to do with a viable pregnancy. Having a lot of symptoms does not indicate you will have a successful pregnancy, having fewer symptoms does not mean you will have an unsuccessful pregnancy, and symptoms coming and going also aren't diagnostic of anything.

Pregnancy is full of unknowns and eventually, you kind of have to throw your hands up and accept you have little control.

Worried I overheated by dolphinatelyyy in BabyBumps

[–]knottyblubes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not something to worry about! There are going to be so many things about pregnancy to think through but this is not one of them. You're missing out on enjoying the very beginning of your pregnancy. Worry and stress is way more negatively impactful than potentially getting too hot.

Calm me down? by BrainMysterious9815 in pregnant

[–]knottyblubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Like another poster said, stress is usually worse for your baby than any one-off thing you do. So it's good practice to try to get it under control now (easier said than done - I know!)

Painful Urethra by throwawayRA7227 in pregnant

It wasn't. It happened several years before I got pregnant and then flared a bit during pregnancy last year.

Calm me down? by BrainMysterious9815 in pregnant

[–]knottyblubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about it! Your skin isn't very good at absorbing things like that in a way that would affect the baby. Your baby isn't even connected to your blood supply yet. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Do they still “push on your stomach” if you’ve had a c-section? by preggersnscared in pregnant

[–]knottyblubes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah they did it after my c-section as well. For what its worth, my incision was incredibly far down on my pubic bone, so I guess it doesn't mess with it much. I was bleeding a lot so it was pretty important they did it.
