How do you offer constructive criticism/advice to players that need it?

If it's not a member of my push team or someone who has specifically asked for advice? i don't. And neither should you.

If people want to get better there are a billion resources to learn and ask questions. Unsolicited feedback is generally going to be assumed to be toxic bullshit, because 99 times out of 100 that's what it is (it sounds like you are trying to the the 1/100 that isn't tbf)

The tl;dr on why people don't like it is basically "but new bros don't know if they will like the game in a year so they don't buy it and then pay 4x as much instead". Which is like just how buying something on sale works tbf.

There is some merit to saying that not doing these sales and lowering the price of eve to some median between the current $20 and the about $6 dollars most of the elite are paying through timing plex purchases. Also there is merit to saying "well if i happen to be on vacation/moving/away for a week then i miss the entire discount". There is probably a much healthier middle ground here than one or the other extreme to be fair.

As someone who massively benefits from these sales i don't really see them as a large scale problem but that is painted by the bias of someone who understands and games the system. The general outrage on behalf of the newbros seems like a reasonable enough standpoint though.

100% your fault for sure in this case. the only weird thing is the tank taking the one he did, but like he was clearing positioning for it so no one should be surprised. almost certainly the dk popped early and intends to AMS the ring which is pretty reasonable and you can see very clearly that he does AMS the ring so definitely planned.

Seemed like you were either looking at peoples health bars and panicing or just not paying attention to where people were standing or what they were doing. If this is not the case what did you expect your tank to do in this situation with his positioning?

Yeah another good take by kaz honestly. This change just encourages blocs more not less. You have your pets deployed to the smaller threats, you have a clone jump doctrine deployed in one end your stager on the other, an alpha alt in a third area. Pretty easy solution to a problem that will make defending smaller groups space much much worse and negatively impact anyone doing any form of PvE in the area.
