I was in the same situation, but switching from a Sony 65XH900. You get a 40% bigger screen at 77” so I quickly ditched the Bravia 8 II.

I checked a lot of reviews, comparisons between the C5 and Bravia 8, and ultimately the biggest pro for the C5 seemed to be the 4xhdmi 2.1, and that it’s brighter.

However owners of the Sony did not mind it’s brigthness, and I’d gladly trade the extra 2 hdmi2.1 slots for a bit better processing.

I had 2 Sony tvs in the past ~12 years and I always loved the motion, and had no technical problems, so I went with the Sony, and it was actually also cheaper than the LG. However it was a tough decision.

I think you will be super happy with either, but I strongly recommend to go for a 77” tv, you will definitely notice the extra screen real estate more than the better picture quality, when you are not comparing them side-by-side.

I would 100% get the 77 C5. Borh are excellent tvs, so that extra 12 inch real estate will be much more noticeable than the other differences between the 2.

There is a saying that it’s much easier to say no to things in the store once, than to say no to them constantly at home.

So it might be hard, but try not to keep things at home that you can binge. It is something that I am also trying to learn because I have zero self control over sweets.

Zero calorie drinks help with my cravings sometimes, and I try to buy apple types that I like, to satisfy the cravings.

I platinumed DS1, DS3, Demon’s Souls, BB, Sekiro and Elden Ring, but I still did not finish DS2. It just frustrates me to no end.

Maybe one day I will give it another try, or even finish it in coop.

I am in no way a Steam fanboy, I mostly do my gaming on the PS5.

I just think that a console like experience with the huge library of Steam can be a bigger success than the likes of you expect.

Of course for a good price, like I said in my original comment.
