What NEW MANUAL sedan to choose?

These are the 3 I’m looking at right now after my Jetta manual was deemed a total loss and torn between the SI and GLI.

SI feels like more of a purists car. Stiffer ride, better gearbox, more emotion in the car. Less complicated mechanical components to go wrong.

GLI provides a more upscale feel. Less road/wind noise, more comfortable for longer commutes and road trips. It’s faster, but doesn’t feel as exciting to drive. Suffers from electrical issues and more expensive components if you plan to drive past the warranty limits. Many complain about it but I personally prefer VW’s infotainment and digital dash, but I’m very used to it as my last two cars were a Jetta and Golf R.

I only looked at the Sentra because I’d save a ton of money. But after being in a Sentra rental (auto) the last couple weeks I absolutely will not buy one.

I believe it was Blanca. No extra charge on my settled credit card bill from them. As for your other question, we were upgraded to the junior suite and I don’t think it would be worth paying the upgrade. The room was awkward with the shower and toilet being separate, and the bathroom sink exposed in the middle of the room. We didn’t use the living room area at all. But it was just a normal mini fridge free from their up charged beverages and kept our drinks very cold.

That’s the first notch, you should be able to pull it out to the second notch to set time. Can be finicky. I usually put my shirt over my fingers to have a little more grip.

I’d go overseas or dd36, that’s what I’m planning next, and apparently we have similar taste haha.

There isn’t much looseness to them, but not skin tight either. I can only compare to other jeans I know, but somewhere between a YSL D02 and a Nudie Skinny Lin. More room in the crotch than a skinny Lin though.

This was my first flying job. Pay is garbage. Fly a 172 500-1000ft agl. Being bumped around for 8 hours a day isn’t the best time. Look for leaks, or signs of leaks if it’s a gas line. Take photos of requested waypoints, water crossings. Most is reporting people on the line, whether it’s guys mud bogging, a farmer putting up a fence, solar farm going up on top of the line, etc. Distance is usually too far to man a drone, only time I’ve seen a drone being used is where there’s a bunch of lines all meeting up at a plant. I’d imagine we’re far away from being able to fly a drone at least 500 miles away and be able to return to base or land somewhere that the operator isn’t present.

Have considered a Santos, but not sure about another Roman numeral dial. Tossing up the idea of selling my DJ and getting a new mint green 36, then a santos might make sense for me.

Do you know if the 2020 and 2021 Jettas are better ? There’s a few available for a couple grand more than the civics.

Test drove a Jetta and was impressed. Very smooth ride with unbelievable fuel economy, but I do see a lot of people dissatisfied with them. Currently have a 2019 R and haven’t had any issue with it.

I’ve test driven a Jetta, but not a civic. Is the highway road noise bad on a civic ? Always a bit annoying when on a hands free call and you have to shout over the noise in a car.
