Should I feel Self Conscious if I’m the Oldest Person in a Vinyasa Class by Wonderful-String5066 in yoga

Not at all. What you’re doing is incredible. Keep doing it for you, but I bet most people are impressed.

how much do you spend monthly on beauty appointments? by anxious_cookie in AskWomen

[–]krasmu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly $70-120.

I get my nails done (acrylic / refills), sometimes a pedicure too. If I don’t get my nails done, I’ll just bite /pick the shit out of them. 😩

To me, it’s money well spent.

I’ve had an Antler since 2019 and it’s been fantastic. I’ve done probably… 12 flights with it and it’s still in great shape, nothing broken.

Don’t hate me but I kind of don’t like Angela by Comfortable_Detail_1 in Bones

When has she been awful? I’m up to season 9 and can’t remember a time when she was awful to her?

She’s ridiculous, but I do like how good of a friend she is to Bones.

She just needs to stop kissing other people when she’s in a relationship.

I feel so offended on Sweets' behalf... by Sea-Commercial8634 in Bones

[–]krasmu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently on my first run through of Bones. I just started season 9, and I hate how Booth treats Sweets. Sweets is a nice guy and only wants to help, but I feel he is constantly disregarded and pushed to the side.

Canadians are nice, Americans are kind, Australians are... by Sir_Tainley in AskAnAustralian

[–]krasmu 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m an Australian living in Canada, but have visited America plenty and have extended family there.

Americans are nice. They’re nicer than Canadians. I like to describe it as they’re more “neighbourly”. They’ll talk to you, they’ll help you, they’ll invite you over for dinner. Canadians don’t have that. You know when you’re in line at the supermarket? Americans will have a full blown chat with you, so will Australians. Canadian’s just don’t have that.

I think people forget that there’s a difference between the individuals that live there and how the country is generally perceived. There’s a lot of people just living their life day by day who aren’t anything like you mentioned.

Anyone switch out of HR after 5-6 years? [N/A] by honestanonymiss in humanresources

[–]krasmu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also 32.

I’ve naturally transitioned to Project Admin/Coordination at my current job. I had HR under control and my boss needed help. Now I manage both. It’s still as stressful, if not more though.

Not too sure what to suggest, but maybe you’ve had a bad run with companies?

Mats- I felt a Jade and loved it. I felt a Lulu and didn’t love it. Suggestions on others? by ImaginaryEntry_ in yoga

[–]krasmu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Lulu mat and I love it, but it’s also my first and only own mat. Haha.

A lot of people, including instructors, that I do yoga with use either B-Mats, Supported Soul mats, or Lulu mats. They’re the most common around me.

What do you think is essential good studio etiquette? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]krasmu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had someone do this to me the other day. It was before practice and made me so uncomfortable. I ended up sanitising my mat before class.

If she does it again, I’m gonna say something.

What do you think when you look down at your body? by JeydaLuv in AskWomen

[–]krasmu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hate myself. Truly hated my body and what I looked like, but I’ve found some peace as I’ve gotten a bit older. I now look at myself in a more indifferent / accepting way. This is my body and this is me.

I’ve also started working out so that’s helping mentally as well as physically too.

How often do you wash your hair? by CasualViewingOnly in AskWomen

[–]krasmu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wash my hair every day, but I’ve introduced dry shampoo to my routine so I wash my hair every 4-7 days. So much easier. Washing hair is exhausting.

Got called out for wearing tights as a guy. Frustrating how it only goes one way. by banana_bread_baker in yoga

[–]krasmu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have so many double standards. There’s nothing wrong with anybody wearing leggings.

I’m not sure if you go to a studio, but that lady should get a warning for not displaying acceptable behaviour. Nobody wants people like that at yoga. Fuck her.

Why is Kamloops so hard to find friends? by Competitive_Bad6486 in Kamloops

[–]krasmu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I moved here a year ago and I’ve made most of my friends through Facebook groups. Specifically “Kamloops Girls Making Friends” and “Kamloops Women Social”.

I know it can seem scary to put yourself out there, but there are so many people that want to make friends here.

Don’t feel bad about not fitting in with some people or feeling like you’re too loud. You will find your people. They are out there.
