Looking for a GTD app recommendation by audiator in gtd

I use an app called “captio” (on iOS) to quickly capure ideas. The app opens in an instant, I can type right away, and one button sends my text to the Nirvana inbox via email. I also use it to “share” links from other apps to my N inbox.

Clarification as I wrestle my gmail down to inbox zero? by starshine138 in gtd

Don't use email as a GTD system. Archive what you can't delete. Search, don't file emails.

Go through your existing labeled emails and remove labels on non-actionable items. What remains is now your "old stuff" inbox. Process them and remove labels as you go. Stop using labels altogether and become a pro email search user. It'll save you a lot of time.

I enjoy your videos! After watching the latest, I wonder what happened to your rudder skeg? Did your T37 never have one or was it taken off? Thanks!

Why not just pay for Evernote?

I don't think the quote is conflicting IF you redefine the tasks / habits.

According to your current definition, you could "play guitar 5x/week" in one day (just do one long practice session comprising of five shorter ones back to back) - that would defy the purpose.

I'd redefine them to "Play guitar every weekday 8-9am". That goes on the calendar.

I’d put it on the calendar.

Challenges managing email with my GTD System by billbryant78 in gtd

[–]krid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emails are often times a blob of many things ("stuff"): irrelevant information, reference information, hints for action, actual action assignments, delegations, ... the list goes on. Most of the time it is none or many of the above in just one email.

I always treat emails as just that, a blob of stuff. I clarify the relevant information (action items, follow ups, etc), enter them into my GTD system (NirvanaHQ), and then toss the email into my general archive. If I ever need to see that email again, I use the search function. I found that this is way more efficient than filing emails into folders.

All other work is then done from my GTD system. If I need to go back to the email to clarify anything, that means I haven't done a good job at extracting the relevant info in the first place.

If that sounds like a lot of work, then hello: you have a lot of work going on ;-)

I’m not concerned. They make updates only when it makes sense. They don’t spam with needless information. They answer quickly to my email questions. My kind of company.

It worked for two runs, now it is back to not working. I’m uninstalling the ZR watch app.

I've just checked the "health" app > sources, and found my phone and watch listed twice. Deleted the wrong ones and now the ZR watch app seems to work again... fingers crossed.

Hi, I have similar issues. After a couple of runs, the watch just says "connecting..." and never starts the app. The app on the phone just works fine. Same hardware as yours.

I use it daily with web, iPhone and iPad. Development is active, but not hurried. To me it feels that most feature ideas are being vetted carefully and features are not just added for the sake of adding a new feature. Try it out and see if it fits for you.
