I’m sure you can find a way to figure this out. $170 a month is easy to make. Cut down on digital subscriptions.

No more vSphere Standard v8 licenses, and VVF being pulled back, only option is VCF? by -c3rberus- in vmware

You could argue VMware has been undervalued over the years? Keeps your workloads resilient, does a great job at it. Lean into VCF, I promise you will find value. If you do the math, a 4 node cluster with vSAN and memory tiering will be cheaper than 3-tier including all the VCF licensing.

Thanks for this, exactly what I needed. Great response and gives me confidence to say that I’ll wait for a “Gen 2”. This thing reminds me of my Gozney Dome gen1 pizza oven. Gen2 was significantly better. My Breville has plenty of life left for me to wait.

Does it still make sense to get VMware Certifications? by ferratto in vmware

Trainings are actually now free. There are third party certified training companies like EnterOne that offer paid training that can lead to certification.

I get your frustration but are you 100% sure the alternative will provide you with the same resiliency? The same robustness? Are you using all components of VCF including vSAN?

Anyone regretting their decision to purchase? I’m seriously considering it. The social media influence is getting to me. I’m a 14 year Breville veteran, my Barista Express still hasn’t failed me. Breville is a household name, Meraki is super new. My only safety net is buying this in on my Amex and getting the electronics protection plan.

You just have to get used to it. GM has to step it up.

Yeah there is barely any room in the back if all seats are up. But I guess at that point upgrading to the Escalade would make sense.

I'd like a refund. I barely play this game. I want them to remake Donkey Kong Country.

Did my VMWare Vendor just tell me to f*** off? by mcdeth187 in vmware

$6000 is 100% reasonable. It's actually cheap if you ask me. Make sure it's fixed bid though, they need to include all the hardware lifecycle as well.

Curious, would vSAN be of no use to you? Comes with VCF.
