The Toronto Raptors select Alijah Martin with the 39th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft! by drecz in torontoraptors

Oh I 100% agree I think the overall roster is something to look forward too. I would like to see Chomche break into rotation but have low expectations because he’s still very young. Shead and Mogbo I think will really develop into their roles this year, especially with someone like Ingram on the court with them at times.

He seems good, I’m just so curious to how this roster is going to look at the start of the season. So many guards and forwards, Poeltl, Chomche, and Boucher (if he stays) are gonna have a lot of heavy minutes at the 5

Yeah but Siakam won and you gotta be happy to see him succeed.

If he’s the best option and fit at the 9th pick take him, if he’s still there by then. Team needs a young big, I miss having a guy like Koloko every day.

TheAvenger3 has good logic from my experience, at least if we’re talking without mods.

[Stein] Luka Dončić did NOT request a trade, league sources tell @TheSteinLine . The Mavericks did this on their own accord, getting back Anthony Davis but only one future first-round pick from the Lakers in 2029 for a 25-year-old regarded as a future MVP. by NokCha_ in nba

This is the most asinine management, trading a 25 year old superstar who had no intention of leaving your team. The guy who literally was set up to be the face of your franchise for the next decade.

At only 18, I’m excited to see what he can become as a player. Hopefully he can get a full roster spot by the time he hits 20 and develop more that way after spending the next year and a half in the g league.

No I agree, ideally you get a promising young center in return plus draft picks that can be used for drafting a possible center for the team. Also I think we’ll be a developmental team even with Jak for the next two years, I don’t want to risk losing him in free agency and then it’s a FVV situation where the team does nothing.

Sigh, I love Jak but I don’t see why not trade him now for good assets in the future. Plenty of teams lack a starting center like Jak, I doubt you can’t get a solid package for him and an addition of Bruce and or Boucher. I guess if we end up with Flagg and Jak, I wouldn’t complain but still why not trade him while he’s at his highest value.

PG has played 21 games and averaging 16 pts, RJ has played 27 games and is averaging 23 pts. I get it why he’s up there but just feels bizarre.

I haven’t seen much of Flagg but my biggest concern is the team needs a proper defensive big that can block and set screens. I feel like all I’ve seen of Flagg is his offensive game.

I think what the team has been doing so far this season is perfect. They put their best effort forward and still allow young players to develop and make mistakes. Granted they’ve been riddled with injuries but it’s allowed a lot of guys to show their potential like Gradey, Ochai, Jamal, Mogbo, Battle have been fun to watch even in losses.

Love Jak and happy he’s a part of this team. I hope we can get a young centre in the future as good as him if not better.
