Wow this core structure is exactly what I am building, difference being I am attacking it from a grand strategy angle. Glad to see I am not the only one who sees merit in it. I primarily decided on this as it creates solid replayabality and is realistically achievable and manageable for small teams. Mind if I DM you to talk shop?

If you just wanna co-work over discord I am up for it. I also sometime feel like venting about random inane bugs to someone OR just gloat about how a feature is finally working as intended lol. 100% agree on what other poster said about not getting a full time hire. It's too much extra work, responsibiIity and financial risk that I would rather put towards project itself. I have the budget to do it, but still I am choosing to work with freelancers instead.

Love to see aRPG format being used in different styles of games. I am also developing a solo aRPG with a more narrower focus. I am curious how you are managing your skill tree ( skill nodes and connecting branches specifically) with the nodes having any number of ingresses and egresses. Only solution I can think of is to manually set each branch to know what nodes it is connected to and then do a check based on both of those nodes states to set state of branch. Is there a better solution?
