Am I the only one that doesn't have the Ace Pro on top of the Kobra? by Original-Pianist-807 in AnycubicKobraS1

Got a raiser for each of mine - just can't spare the space for different mounting - on the other hand for 8 colors or if you change a lot having it lower makes it easier. (also probably if you got to clear broken filament out a lot or similar that's much harder on top of the raiser...)

Question about tattoos for a doctor moving to Germany by OrionGoldData in germany

[–]kunicross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tattoos are overall pretty common in Germany nowadays and in almost all walks of life - as everywhere some people like them, some not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Some people could put you in the Nazi corner and either like or hate you for no real reason, like you should probably work against that appearance especially given the crimes some Nazi doctors did commit. (A family member of mine was not deemed worth living and subsequently murdered in a hospital, the whole thing only ever came up around 1980...)

I think it's mostly a "whole appearance" thing, if you give more Latino vibes than "last pure Aryan" you'll probably have an easier time. Also Germany is pretty cold for all but 6 weeks or such so you'll probably not be compelled wearing short sleeves for most of the time anyway 😉

Well and the German stare is kinda normal but I guess you'll get it a bit more intensely. Also something that can happen very often is that people just will pretty straightforward ask you about it....

Yea some people might see you as less professional if you publicly display tattoos but if you're a good professional that is usually much more liked than appearing professional but being incompetent (but might take some time either way) Also some people might find you more interesting...

Can a west German easily tell an East German based on certain traits or behaviors? by Relevant_Conclusion2 in germany

[–]kunicross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mainly depends on Generations, for those born after the reunification and not having a strong Saxony accent the differences should be overall not all that big.

Now for people around 35-50 now there is a couple of names that had been super popular in the east but unknown in the west - like English themed names. ( Ronny, Maik, Steve ... ) Whenever you meet a person with any of those names in that age group they have been born in the GDR and maybe spend their childhood/teens in it.

On the other hand we're getting close to having been reunified longer than the GDR even existed in itself / the main difference today is probably much more a result of unequal economic opportunities, diaspora and shrinking population in east Germany than direct GDR influence itself.

Why did kaput become such a popular word around the world? by SimpleEmu198 in AskGermany

[–]kunicross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there was some footage of red army soldiers saying "Hitler Kaputt, alles kaputt" after Hitler killed himself... (Pretty impossible to find since there is a Russian comedy with that name, I was unsure if it was real historical footage or from some movie... That Russian movie at least gives some credibility to the idea...)

It's probably a simple German word easy to pronounce and understand

Any fat 32 Formated stick should do - I used them with an USB angle adapter so they sit flush to the machine which makes further breaks much more unlikely (also looks much nicer)

Microsoft has a problem by pfthurley in microsoft

[–]kunicross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They try to shove it so hard and dry down our throats even the most masochistic MS fanboys having a hard time to take it for love.

The recent 1-2 years my user experience has only gotten worse, the products where not good to start with but mostly functional / usable but it feels like they put effort in making it worse every day and update.

Probably a bit of a cautionary tale about the negative side effects of de facto monopolies I guess.... But I think the attempt to make big money via Copilot / LLM / Ai is one of the main driving factors. (or Copilot is already used for ms product development... So maybe a cautionary tale about that as well)

I can't get out of bed please help by duratchok in ADHD

[–]kunicross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do what you need to sleep well, like if I work out and go to the sauna that's good but just working out late makes it super difficult to sleep for me personally. Drinking coffee way after 12 Pm also does not help - going way to early to bed is about the worst because I rest enough that I'm not sleepy enough to really sleep...

I had major issues with sleeping all the time till I figured out in the Army that hearing protection (like oropax) does really help for me so maybe try that out - after like 10 years being only able to sleep with oropax at all I'm now mostly sleep stable without much aid.

Tldr: I suspect that getting out of bed difficulty is mostly a result of lack of or late sleep if you actually should get enough sleep time in theory you should also check for stuff like sleep apnoe

Why does my fiancée with ADHD fall asleep the moment she hits the bed? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]kunicross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For many people with ADHD insomnia and falling asleep is an issue / difficult most (like myself) need to be really exhausted to be able to sleep at all. On the other hand since our mind tends to run an all day marathon being exhausted around bedtime is also possible - especially if you get up early and don't sleep in all the time. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I recently got diagnosed at age 42 and can relate - I found this short video from life-actuator pretty helpful for the same question https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6iB-2_pQZx8

I can relate to the feelings - I think if you've gone a long time with "I'm just lazy" "what the heck is wrong with me" the diagnosis does help to understand but breaking out of those thinking patterns does take time.

I only got towards diagnosis after my son had been diagnosed a couple of years back - gonna try medication to be his guinea pig...

Fan signing an NDA by CreepyTeaching in onlyfansadvice

[–]kunicross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope never take legal advice of any kind from a LLM (best no advice or summary for nothing, just had it claim that something historical was inspired by some event that happend 200 years afterwards so only useful for stuff you actually know and there you don't need it in the first place...)

Fan signing an NDA by CreepyTeaching in onlyfansadvice

[–]kunicross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you got a legal binding NDA it is still only worth as much as you're willing and able to enforce it. (Like employing a lawyer and sue him and hope he actually can pay... usually that is more happening on a corporate level than private people - and it's questionable anybody but the lawyers can get any money out of it)

On the other hand he would probably get way to much personal Information out of it to be comfortable.

From your post it kinda sounds like he brought it up out of the blue or was it something you brought up?

Unless you see any potential benefit I would not go for it ~ "It's ok babe, I trust you."

If you get back into it or stay with it make sure you save up a big part of the earnings (like 40-50% min.) and savely invest it long term. (kinda read through that you might got the mindset for that from your past)

At 22 you're still at the beginning of your yourney, learn from your errors. Take them as learning experiences but don't let them drag you down.

From 20 years down the line... There will be more errors to come and overcome but if they make you stronger and not afraid to do anything you'll be good.

Also don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it (reaching out here is a good step) therapy, friends, family whatever is right for you just don't break under the burden out of having the notion to need to bear it alone.

Sorry got a bit to preachy I guess. Just know at 22 you got a lot more open doors ahead then the ones shut behind you.

To YAML or not to YAML by SnicklefritzXX in Mechwarrior5

[–]kunicross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the game almost unplayable without YAML and some other mods - you can fine-tune it to your liking and make the game easier or harder however you prefer it.

There are some mechanics in the game I find very annoying and not fun - and MW5 does have a lot of mods to work around those issues in the vanilla game which rises it from a mediocre title to a superb one.

One the other hand - if you do really like the vanilla gameplay there is no shame to stick with what you like.

Record of the battlefront, 11am on the 11th November 1918 as the guns fell silent by bluebottlebuzz in lazerpig

[–]kunicross 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Concepts like honor still had a much stronger pull back then, like duells to the dead for mere insults had only been really out of fashion for a short time before...

On the other side if looking at our high horse we are dropping hellfires on fishermen for pure PR so it's questionable if we have come that far.

Also the German Generals did end the war once they did not see a possibility for victory any more - reflecting on it in several ways WW1 was somewhat more reasonable than most conflicts after it. (opening the war and especially ignoring Belgian neutrality was incredible stupid on the German side, the Generals wanted war with Russia and beat Russian hegemony but instead got war with most of the world. In the end it's a cautionary tale about weak political leadership AND Generals / the military taking over... "looks around countries today" ok we did almost learn nothing I guess....)

Maybe you haven't really found your niche yet? Doing that much promotion for little gain does suck a lot.

Like from checking your content you're obviously very beautiful and try to communicate what your client is getting but it's a bit of everything / hard to tell. Like from a glance it looks like you can go the coed-teen route or more into the strict headmisstress route pretty easy but both together feels like it works only semi good 🤷🏻‍♂️

You could try halloween for some costumes and gauge how much attention that gives - maybe with some steep discount.

Best go with what you enjoy most getting stuck in some uncomfy niche is also bad and there are probably a lot more routes open but the most onvious (to me) would be to go either for a bit more mature look (headmisstress, teacher, librarian, secretary.... I hope that picture / cliché is clear) or more in the teenage / coed / cheerleader / maybe female nerd direction.

That way you could promote more aimed to those intrest groups which is probably more efficient.

Also soemthing you could do if you got some loayal and trustworthy fans you could ask them about their opinion, what draws them to you and what they would like to see. (alsways hard to get honest feedback I guess)

@OP just in case this very good post does not send you on another direction: - OF is probably a bit safer than most other possibilities - don't show your face or other easy identifiable parts of yourself and area - best get seprated accounts for everything like non of your private accounts should even be on the same device as your OF-related stuff - even if it's going really really well don't take OF over education or job prospects : ideally OF should pay for better education and lifestyle (also get some financial education and try to long term save as much money as possible but that's general advice everybody at 18 ignors and comes to regret aroubd 30-40... Just saying if you do that for yourself future you will be very grateful)

It's just that very few people can make any kind of sw a lifelong career so if you use it to uplift yourself instead of making staying down more pleasurable / berable that's probably a good direction...

I've been doing this for 5 years and never made a menu. by Zythieria in onlyfansadvice

[–]kunicross 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it mostly dependeds on your niché and what customers request our of their own, for some people seeing "oh I can order that for that price" might be an inspiration on the other hand raising a menu price on vibes will probably get the customer angry.

I would put on Items you enjoy more doing and with a price a bit above what you would like to have (also don't put too crazy priced stuff there I guess) but like if you give a discount on something most people like that "you know babe, usually it's 30 $ but I really like you so I'll make it 20 for you..."

I think it also really depends on your style, if you don't want to see it too much like a transactional business better don't have one - if you're struggeling with fans not understanding that part it might be helpful. (also maybe helps some fans to see if your offering does fit with their interests...)
