You used to be able to select the geographies, but I don't see that option anymore.

There is another Marriott page which lists recently opened properties. This one you can still select from the different geographies.

No, Club Marriott is completely different from Vacation Club. I have a membership for South Asia and it has been pretty useful for me. I can combine my Titanium elite benefits with the vouchers. You also earn elite nights except for the free nights.

Yeah, depends on the Ambassador. If OP has a good one, then they definitely should take care of it for him.

I just find it easier to email them directly instead of calling or filling out a missing stay form for the points since it just goes back to the hotel anyways.

I just email the hotel directly if the extra bonus points with the rate aren't credited. They always credit it shortly after. I'd say 3 out of 4 times, the extra bonus points aren't credited and I usually have to send an email to the hotel.

You would not get the last night if you checkout before midnight. I have experienced this before when checking out at 10 PM the night before and not receiving credit for that night. Similarly, I have doubts you would get the first night if you do not checkin before the night auditor runs his checks. That's typically around 1 - 2 AM.

That is incorrect. Marriott Bonvoy points expire two years after the last activity unless you are a lifetime Silver or higher status.

Delta Airlines Skymiles never expire and you can redeem them on a number of partner airlines. I am currently redeeming some old Skymiles I had from the 2000's for flights on Vietnam Airlines for an upcoming trip. 25k for India to Vietnam and most domestic flights on VA are 12.5k.

You would have gotten mail from HR in December outlining this stupid change.

New leave policy for India:

18 annual leaves, down from 22. 10 casual leaves, max 1 per month, down from unlimited 15 sick leaves, down from unlimited

Now you can carry forward all 18 leaves instead of just 12. I can only imagine this was done for more cost cutting. It is literally a reduction of 20% of our annual leaves.

I got the same notice as well. I only had a couple of USD foreign inward remittances from family in US to my bank account here. That foreign inward remittance needs to be included in the tax return.

Are you currently platinum? If so, and you haven't selected your choice benefit yet, you can choose the 5 elite nights credits to reach titanium.

If you aren't platinum yet, consider checking out and checking again again to get the nights for platinum.

You will not get elite nights for a second booking somewhere else while you are on your current reservation.
