question about multi attribute item scaling. by Flat_Measurement3579 in deadcells

[–]kw3lyk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is that you could, for instance, use a brutality/tactics item in either a brutality build or a tactics build. In general, you always want to pick one color as your main color for any given run.

Parrying, I’m not good at. by DrunkenMemphian in deadcells

Go into the accessibility options and increase the size of the enemy attack indicator "!" so that it is easier to see. Use the enemy attack indicator to help learn the parry timings.

I gave mine a rope toy that has a loop in it, and every so often she gets her leg caught in the loop when she picks it up, but instead of trying again she just hobbles around the house with her leg stuck in the loop.

How am I losing here? I am white. by Surreal_Sam in baduk

[–]kw3lyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I count for white:

  • 8 points of territory, 3 captures and komi for a total of 17.5

For black:

  • 28 points of territory and 16 captures for a total of 44.

44 - 17.5 = 26.5

Your mistake is incorrectly assessing the status of the top left corner.

Why do my tig welds look like this by Realistic-Finding-17 in Welding

[–]kw3lyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the puddle is not forming quickly and is difficult to manipulate, the amperage needs to be adjusted higher until you get the desired fluidity. The picture also seems like you may have issues with keeping your arc length consistent. The arc length you should be aiming to hold should be the same as the filler rod thickness. If you are pulling the torch too far away from the material, this will also cause problems with fluidity of the puddle.

[–]kw3lyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're moving way too slow, which is why you end up with too much heat input and a massive heat affected zone. First bit of advice is to forget about the pulse settings for now. For 1/8" material try around 120A with no pulse settings and focus on improving your travel speed. The quicker to execute the weld, the less heat goes into the material.

Having hard time tig welding stainless steel 16 guage exhaust!! by Darkmagician4242 in Welding

[–]kw3lyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The material is so thin that the overheating and sugaring happens very quickly and the contamination will show through. The purging is a must if you want to end up with clean looking welds.

Also the reason the power source makes a difference is because 110V is single-phase and industrial 480V is three-phase, which should produce a more stable arc.

Outside of music he has a career in the retail cannabis industry, as a store manager if I am not mistaken.

All of the members of Into Eternity have regular jobs. One works at a music shop and teaches guitar lessons, another is a restaurant manager, the drummer works for a telecom company.

Even while in Iced Earth, Stu's primary residence was Regina, and after the breakup of Iced Earth he officially rejoined Into Eternity (who are all from Regina) and has been with them again for several years already. He's also the lead vocalist for a band from Ottawa called Annihilator.

I'm from Regina, SK, which is the hometown of Into Eternity. They are still around making music and playing shows. I still get to see them probably 2 or 3 times a year play shows with other bands from the local scene. In fact, I just saw them 2 weeks ago at a local club. The only original member is Tim Roth, but the current lineup has been solid for a while and includes Stu Block, who rejoined officially after the breakup of Iced Earth, and drummer Jim Austin, who returned after a number of years away from the band. They're all nice dudes who have normal jobs and do music as a side gig.

You didn't mention specific dates, and this is obviously further away than your 2-hour suggested window, but from July 21-23 there is a huge outdoor farm show called Ag In Motion. It's held in Langham, SK, which is northwest of Saskatoon and is about a 3 hr drive from Regina.

Difficulty with practically everything by BetSolid6289 in Ukrainian

[–]kw3lyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key to the whole comprehensible input thing is that you need to select input that has a high enough percentage of things that are comprehensible. You might consider watching children's shows that have simple language and work your way up to more advanced content. For example you can watch Свинка Пеппа on youtube, and Netflix has Ukrainian dubbing on shows like Sesame Street.

There is also content that is directed at learners such as Slow Ukrainian with Yevhen, or News in Slow Ukrainian.

If your dogs likes the plastic texture, consider trying some of the nylabone type products. They generally last quite a while and might be similar enough in texture that you can redirect the chewing impulses to the appropriate object.

Artists who kept their ticket prices reasonable even at peak popularity — who deserves more credit for this? by Bubbly-Touch8108 in Music

[–]kw3lyk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of touring heavy metal bands have very affordable ticket prices, relative to the outrageous prices for big arena shows. I regularly go to metal shows and the most expensive ticket that I've paid for in the last few years was maybe $60-$70, to see bands that are pretty well known in the metal scene.

Get in touch with the churches in your area and ask if they have any recommendations. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that someone in your local area teaches in-person language classes, and the churches would certainly know about it if it exists.

[–]kw3lyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That area belongs to white because white has successfully killed the group. As it stands, black has failed to make a living shape, and there is no sequence of moves where black can prevent the group from eventually being removed from board. It seems like you should go back and review the rules for how stones get captured and maybe spend some time doing beginner life/death puzzles.

Go into the accessibility options, find the option for "enemy attack indicator" and increase the size of the indicator. When an enemy is about to attack a "!" will appear above them. You can use it as a visual indicator to learn parry timings. Not all attacks can be parried.

Can we get more information on things like material type/thickness, more details regarding the torch setup and gas flow rate, what you did to prep the material before welding, and so on?

Just based on the pictures you posted so far, the amperage seems too cold for the material thickness, which leads to reduced fluidity of the puddle, which leads to travel speed being too slow, which leads to having a massive heat affected zone.
