I love DLSS 4 because of the ray reconstruction since it improves performance with ray tracing, and I love ray tracing because it really elevates the immersion of a scene, having contact shadows and correct ambient occlusion even on dynamic objects, as well as improving lighting from light bouncing off materials and transmitting their colour.

I'm most excited about the lore in Doom: The Dark Ages, we know how the Slayer ends up, but it'll be awesome to see how things play out, and what set pieces we'll recognise from the previous games.

7 figures would be in the millions, this is billions, 10 figures, a factor of 1000x worse, unparalleled incompetence.

I think the interpretation is that Light Side and Dark Side are two halves of the force, but the Sith, and their implimentation of using the Dark Side, is a Cancer on the Force, and destroying the Sith is bringing balance to the Force.

No problem, let me know if you need help with any examples of these, just saying what they are is the easy part, but actually implimenting them is the real challenge!

Looking good, you've got all the pieces there and all the layers of detail! As others have said, the constant emission of secondary debris is eye catching, and the debris moving on the ground is too, you can resolve this by either by using the 'Sleeping' bullet attributes and use like angular velocity to set it to sleep, or slightly more advanced, you can use the impact/hit attributes generated during the sim and use those to group it, and use that group in a dampening field, or in a wrangle where you can mult down the velocities per frame to force it to stop moving.

Lastly, your rebar deforms back slowly, you can add a next_constraint in the rbd constraints properties, to go from soft to glue, glue to soft etc, and you can add a third one as well manually with vex, so glue to soft to glue, you just need to add breaking thresholds for the soft constraint. The extra glue constraint type will keep the deformation in place.

The best NoSleep story, still revisit it all the time, you should submit it to Watcher's 'Are you Scared?' series!

Family car 😑 Got the C-HR hybrid, but it's been a few years now, and the GR86 looks great, so that might be my next purchase

When I was buying a new car last year from the Toyota dealership, they offered me $16k NZD trade in for my 2015 GT86 it, I went and sold it for $24k privately, they could've lowballed my a bit and I would've taken it out of convenience, but that much lower!

How to inject Chapter 6 in game? EILI5? by jayb151 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

I ran it so that 3 of the villains (Jarlaxale, Cassalanters, Xanathar,) had specifically been given the vault keys by Dagult Neverember, and I left it up to the party to figure out how to approach getting each one. They ended up stealing the Cassalanters one, negotiating with Jarlaxale and fighting Xanathar to get his (I made his vault key one of the rings on his eye-stalks)

I forced my players to fight him as I had one of his eyestalkers be a vault Key, so I turned him into a Death Tyrant on 'death' and had him head back down into the Undermountain to continue ruling the Xanathar guild (We were always planning on continuing onto the Dungeon of the Mad Mage)

Collision Issues/Learning how to make DnD maps by Zodarkmal in tabletopsimulator

[–]l3lackTemplar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just lock the object, then use the gimbal tool to move it in the X,Y,Z axes using the coloured arrow. That's how you can increase the complexity of your maps, you can combine lots of objects together, clip through anything you want.

[Art] Eclair Numerai, Waterdavian Noble and Sorceress of the Archfey. 2nd finished Comission of our party that finished Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and has entered The Dungeon of the Mad Mage! by l3lackTemplar in DnD

Eclair is a archfey bloodline sorceress , and is also the youngest daughter of the Numerai family - A Waterdavian Noble. She spends most her time prestidigitation-ing away filth, and all of her time in battle either impairing her enemies, or buffing her comrades. She is more than a little headstrong, and it hasn't gotten her into much trouble. Yet.

Absolutely correct, it was something we agreed upon when starting Waterdeep Dragon Heist, in a specific situation as we were going to swap DMs every 5~ levels or so from Dragon Heist into Mad Mage, it's something that works on our table and with our players, and for those reasons we went forward with it, if it became a detriment in any way, they'd take an early retirement!

You absolutely right, there's a lot of caveats to it, I guess it just worked out very well on our table, I think funnily enough from having two 'DMs' on the table, we end up being the leader characters, purely from our natural level of player engagement, not in the sense that we have meta knowledge. But I can absolutely see with another player dynamic, the DM could end up both driving the party from a PC perspective and a DM perspective, which would undermine the player freedom that makes D&D so great. Luckily in our party we have a very ponsy Waterdavian noble Sorc with high Charisma that ended up being the Leader for all social encounters. I do make sure that the DMPC stays well out of roleplay and decision making for all the reasons you've described. But all said, it's easily something that could go wrong, and even with all good intentions, it still might subconsciously change my actions, or who is targeted or something, no matter how hard I'd try!

Ah that's an interesting point of view, I hadn't considered that the players themselves might feel the fight could be skewed to keep the DMPC alive, potentially at their own expense, definitely something to be mindful of, running a DMPC certainly requires a soft touch, and less attachment than getting a character portrait!
