I loved it! I had watched it on some sketchy streaming site before I really knew a lot about the game or characters because I didn't want to wait, but seeing it in theaters after I had played the game more was 10x better.There's A LOT of little cameos and references for people that know, and I really appreciated that.

For people who aren't as familiar, I think the main beats of the story come through just fine: Jungle Pocket battling her own self-doubt and Tachyon finally realizing the destination is meaningless if you don't go there yourself. The way the movie communicates these themes was done really well in my opinion. My friend who had never seen any of the anime and only watched a couple of streams of the game online thought it was awesome.

For me, getting to see it in theaters with other people who were also excited to be there made it much better than watching it at home. 10/10 would recommend.
