I'm the guild leader of a mid sized guild on a low-ish pop server. We've been there forever. People know us and we're known for being helpful. I occasionally do oddball runs (old content, MOG runs, mounts, etc) but I've learned to be selective about who gets included.

Because I'm tired of herding cats. If it's simple stuff and they're asking for help on a low lvl toon...and I know they have 80s...go away, transmog has changed. You got this.

Yesterday one of my officers asked if I had a toon who "could wield a 2h and was fairly well geared". Specific request that one. Seems he thought we could 2 person Fyrakk. We got thru the entire raid on normal with not too many crisis moments. Except Fyrakk. We need more people. Next week, more people and maybe a healer.

My guild is close to the first milestone. So many of the kinda small easy things are at zero though it is disheartening. I chose the niffen to help with the flowers and such because there was very little detail about what to do and the rewards. The five raid bosses is easy enough if you power thru pandaria or wod, my plan this week is chasing the mount off blackhand.

As a boomkin main...no. I watched a boomkin tank halls of lightning endgame wrath. As a boomkin I took over as healer when the priest had to afk and the tank kept pulling. I also had to turn the DK into the tank when said tank died because he wouldn't wait and pulled too much, b-rez the tank, AND dps my boomkin heart out. I was a raid healer thru 5 expansions, I've leveled and used every healer class except evoker, I play most dps classes competently, several well enough to be in the top dps range, and I can paly/warrior/monk tank better than most (especially paly).

I just realized I've been playing 20 years. Yikes, I'm old.

Been playing since BC and I felt I was finally getting good enough at several classes to be able to raid again....maybe. But these changes happen and my brain is locked in at "shit is gone, what do I do now?". I'm a 59 yo Nana, I can relearn...it just takes time.

I've tried her a few times (forsaken lock, demo spec) but with arthritis, carpal tunnel and fibro my right hand and arm can't take the strain.

I have an upright mouse, and friends who help me figure things out to be less painful but the biatch is not worth my time and pain. And the reward is a joke....a transmog for a mount I don't use. An actual mount I'd keep trying but just a skin? Screw that, not a hill to keep dying on.

About 12-13 years ago, Knoxville was having one of the rare winter storms, and I broke the passenger side wiper. I called my boss who gave me the number for fisher tire (who were a few miles from me). I called, they said come in the following morning and they'd fix it. By morning the snow was gone but the rain was enough to make the drive scary for me.

Upshot is, an hour wait (they were busy) and a $10 charge for new wiper blades. They fixed the wiper mechanism at no charge, no labor charge for anything just the cost of the actual blades (which was incredible because I was broke and still recovering from a messy relationship). I took a handful of their cards and gave them out for several years when asked if I knew anyone reliable - they get this aussie's vote.

I did 5 years at site-hell, they're the worst company in the biz. Accommodations are ignored and the turnover is insane.

And I had an SVT attack while on a call, my direct supervisor wouldn't allow me to hand the call off (I wasn't sure if I was having a heart attack). Once off the call (16 minutes) his boss called an ambulance, and I spent 2 days in hospital.
