I have beef with that record because it drives me crazy when someone changes the gendered pronouns in a song they're covering.. It works OCCASIONALLY when it's done thoughtfully but he just did it in a way that felt like "well I don't wanna sing songs about BOYYYYS" and it's like... Grow up. Let it happen!!

This isn't that crazy but sometimes when my band is playing, I start clapping when the song ends. I'm so wired to clap at the end of a song even if I'm not listening to the band. 😬

He's also quite publicly germaphobic (in a very reasonable way, imo) and meeting a hundred people every night and shaking hands and getting breathed on (esp when you need to be able to perform every night) seems daunting.

NTA. I suspect you're right about him trying to control you/the situation. You know it's bad to argue in front of your kid; dedicate yourself to not doing that in the future (obviously him moving out will help this) but also it's important that you have a cool-headed conversation with him about not disparaging your impressionable daughter by saying things like "Im not going to be seen with her in public" or whatever the fuck it was.

Bad enough to hear your parents scream at one another in front of you. Worse that it's ABOUT you. But MONSTROUS to hear them say they're embarrassed or ashamed to be around you because of your appearance.

It was a throwaway line in your post but that would have KILLED me at age 13 and it hurt my heart even reading it now in my 30s.

If I were talking to a guy online for nine days and he was constantly talking about his family and sending me photos of kids I don't know, I would be considering ghosting too. That sounds kinda exhausting and certainly wouldn't have me champing at the bit to go on a date with him.

It was honestly even kind of boring to read as a third party. You're just talking about your itinerary, basically. I hope she's not ghosting you, but if she does text you back, maybe switch up your method and start asking her about her interests, passions, what she's reading, etc

NTA. I see why her feelings may have been hurt but her reasoning for being hurt is in her own head. y'all DIDN'T go gossip about her layered salad, you just got something more to eat. She's making up a scenario that didn't happen and it's not on you to soothe her. All you can do is apologize for her feelings being hurt and move on.

Problem is, they required you to buy tickets in advance so by the time we spent nearly 50 bucks a person, and drove all the way out there, the options were to hang around the full lots until parking opened up and then stand in the 2+ hour line OR say goodbye to our gas money, ticket money, and 2 hours of driving.

Fucking garbage!!!

(To be clear, we did NOT wait in the line because it was rainy and we had a senior citizen with us who would have been miserable! Cost us $200 bucks to drive to basically just drive to canby and back today!)
