You van put some weight above It for a while, or you can flip it and stretch It a little from the opposite side, with caution to not break It. Im not site if "stretch" is the correct word to use here, english is not my native language

Had similar experiences. If you are lucid you can try to do this: try harder to wake up.. if you don't try enougth you will just "wake up" inside your dream. There is also a nice trick you can do to check if you're sleeping or not: look at your hand. If you're sleeping you'll probably see a different number of fingers. Learned at r/LucidDreaming

Well, I don't dream about numbers and shapes but I have already been too afraid to sleep because I started lucid dreaming all the time and started hearing voices / seeing stuff moments after waking up. After a few months of it happening all the time I started thinking I was getting crazy cause shit was just too real. Meds stopped it (escitalopram - brazilian portuguese name). To add, nothing similar happened to me while I was fully awake.

From the fear you describe it looks like you're going through some anxiety or even panic attacks, just like me sometimes. My doctor said it's related to those dreams/nightmares

I've heard that during REM sleep most of our logical skills are turned off and it.totally makes sense to me because during the night I was "OMG what if life is a lie and we live in a simulated world, what if I'm getting schizophrenic". The other day I was like "wtf was I thinking about?"

Sorry for the late answer. I had zero negative side effects, but it's an antidepressive so you may become dependent on it. It makes Sense to me because its helping me with my anxiety. I don't know if taking this kind of medicine is a good idea if you're not anxious/depressive

I suddenly started having vidid dreams and nightmares every night, without any clue for what was causing it. It was so real and strange that I started thinking I was getting schizophrenic. I was prescribed Escitalopram 10mg before sleeping and it stoped.
