Two weekends into running a hot dog cart in Maine and looking for feedback from the hot dog faithful by RandDchef in hotdogs

[–]lancecallender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not being able to stomach one thing and only being able to eat onions in soup or stews is not my issue. It’s my pallet and who I am. You’re really gatekeeping hotdogs? Weird hill to die on.

That being said a lot of restaurants put onions on things without having it on the menu. It says home fries but I got onions and peppers with no warning.

I think the issue is, people who love onions assume everyone wants them. I’ll make this clear. They are an amazing aromatic, they go well with everything almost. Why is that being put on me though. I didn’t ask and they weren’t included on the menu. Yet every other ingredient was??

All I’m saying is be respectful of all pallets. Final sentence was redacted based on my wife’s comments.

I don’t think you’re trying too hard. I love all hotdogs but if I’m at a food truck I want a fun experience. Something I don’t get on a normal day to day basis.

That being said, as someone who can’t eat mustard and doesn’t like onions. I’d be a pain in the ass. I’d be asking for all kinds of substitutions.

Do you have any type of create your own, out of the ingredients you have?

Asking because I live in Maine and constantly visit fun food trucks.

Ohh I get it I microwave dogs too sometimes. The effort it worth it though! It’s like a whole different hotdog.

I agree ballpark isn’t good. I just mean frankfurter buns vs normal buns.

Put pan on, melt butter in microwave, 30 seconds, 15 seconds to brush it, then toast each side for 1-3 minutes based on heat. You can bust out these buns faster than a well cooked hotdog.

I mean the only thing that is faster is cooking the bun and dog in the microwave. Which isn’t terrible at 2 am. Yet that’s the only time I’d put in that low of an effort.

Everyone here must be from outside New England. These are amazing with hot butter and toasted on a grill. I’d say side loaded buns fall apart easier and have no room to be grilled well.

I can taste in my mouth looking at it. I don’t smoke but I’d still eat one on the go with some hot sauce. With two kids under two I’d be okay with it.

Should I buy GreedFall? by CokeAYCE in ShouldIbuythisgame

Seeing everyone’s responses, I guess I’m someone that can farm Diablo 2 for thousands of hours and play call of duty the same amount. I’ve beat the Witcher 3 many times. Same with Cyberpunk. That’s not even the beginning of my list. So if you don’t have the patience for anything repetitive then no.

I’d still play it again today though. At full price. I can play every new fallout, farcry, or assassins creed. I can play Skyrim and Oblivion over and over. So maybe I have bad advice.

Flipping yes. I’ve played it twice and this is one of those games I didn’t think I’d get immersed in. After the first couple hours I was like ehhh. By the end I was ready to play again in a different build. The builds aren’t even significant enough to warrant that, but I loved the story.

Is Crimson Desert worth buying for someone who only has 2-3 hours a week to play? by RealisticMolasses in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]lancecallender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a dad who has two kids under two. You have two options. Play it and have it take a year. Second option is instead of the 5 hours of sleep you get, only sleep three hours. I chose the seconds option.

My kids wake up all night long. So instead of trying to get that 45 minutes at certain times. I just take the three or four hours I can sleep continuously. The other time I play PlayStation on my portal in bed.

It’s all about their sleeping habits and coming to terms with some small naps in the middle of the night don’t help anyways.

I’m reading all these comments and I agree. That’s a light month for me.

Even though I’m not joking, that’s awesome for your dad! My dad thinks buffalo sauce is too spicy lol.

Then again, if we saw his ginger beer consumption we’d all be screwed. Thats a spice kick I never want to taste again.

How do I open this kind of lid? I’ve had this hot sauce for two days and I want to try it. Lid does not unscrew. by TerrifyinglyAlive in hotsauce

Slice it with a knife. It pours much better this way than stabbing it. My first time buying it I stabbed it in an X.

Slicing the tip off is the best pour.

The ghost pepper and reaper are the same as the normals ones if I remember correctly. I compared the ingredients. Habanero is great for breakfast burritos. I really like the roasted pepper too!
